Categories Comments Campus Safety Its a Tobacco Free Campus and we have plenty of security around on campus.
Greek Life I believe they have a couple i haven't been in the school long enough to really look into that, i not really interesting in the Greek Life, I'm just focused on the school work now.
Clubs and Activities This college has a many of different Clubs and Activities to join!
Great for these types of students Its a great college to get prerequisites out of the way for transfer, and definitely for the programs that are available there.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Halifax Community College is right at the border of Roanoke Rapids but just does make the Weldon area.
Bang for the buck Yes! Its a great school for certain programs, also, great for getting Prerequisites out of the ways to transfer to another college, like i am doing now. Especially, if you live near the area!
What to do for fun Halifax Community College has different events each semester that students love to attend!! Its a good time to catch up with friends and get away from school work for a few!
Food and Dining Food and Dining is not even two minute up the road which is nice! Also, Halifax Community College has a Cafeteria!
Dorm Life This College does not have dorms!
Academic Rigor Halifax Community College has many Scholarships Available to students, and also to students who are in attending certain programs at this school!
Tips for prospective students Study Hard and you can do anything!!
In three sentences I have enjoyed being a student at Halifax Community College so far. It is good that I have lived in Roanoke Rapids all my life and to be able to attend college only ten minutes from my house, I am truly going to miss the drive next fall! Halifax Community College has great programs for anyone who is in need of a degree!

Bang for the buck I have found that so far everything has been exceptionally reasonable.
What to do for fun So far the atmosphere has been very positive.
Food and Dining Not sure about the food yet, but I haven't heard anything bad.
Dorm Life No dorms on campus.
Academic Rigor Very challenging.
Tips for prospective students Apply early. When in doubt always ask questions. Everyone is very helpful. Hold your head high and charge!
In three sentences The entire staff at HCC has been very welcoming, helpful and informative. The team at HCC is friendly and has a homelike feel. It's very obvious on how much they want you to succeed and play a major part in your success.

Clubs and Activities There is a variety of clubs and organizations.
Great for these types of students Those who are looking to acquire a trade skill, an associate's degree or prepare for transfer to a 4-year university. It is affordable and the location is great!
Bang for the buck A community college is the way to go if you are looking to save money the first 2 years before transferring to a 4-year university. Great education at a fraction of the cost!
What to do for fun Even though it is a community college, there are always activities going on for students and the public.
Food and Dining There is a snack bar...no cafeteria as there is no on-campus residency.
Dorm Life There are no dorms, as it is a community college.
Academic Rigor The classes are small in size, which allows for more one-on-one contact with instructors. I enjoyed all my classes!
Tips for prospective students Take advantage of all the community college has to offer. By registering with Student Support Services I was able to receive help (as a future transfer student) and also earned extra money as a tutor!
In three sentences The instructors are hands-on and very helpful. Student Support Services staff is a godsend! HCC is very affordable and allows the student to acquire an Associates degree or acquire a great foundation as a transfer student!
