I love being at Hampton. It is in a rural area but there is never a dull moment. I think since we have people from every where like CA, FL, TX, NY, NJ and the other 45 states you learn a lot about different musics, styles , dances and even food. It is an awesome experience. There is Greek life on campus so it is always exciting to see them stroll or stomp. Hampton is defiantly the HBCU to attend.

Upon first arriving as a Freshman you'll think its lame that they require freshman to abide by a curfew until right before homecoming. What makes it fun is that you don't have to go it alone. Your other incoming Freshman friends are dealing with it too. It forces you to make friends early on as well as focus more on your academics, and entering into the University with a great GPA. I finished out my freshman year with a GPA of a 3.8 The campus is gorgeous, with a view of the Chesapeake Bay, and historical timeless buildings. They say the friends you make here are lifetime friends, and the truth is, that they are right.
