Around Town

There are many clubs and activities on campus. There are long walks on the waterfront and many performances, lectures, career fairs and receptions to attend.

I really do not go out that much since we are considered to be located in the more rural areas of Virginia. Sometimes i go to the movies with my friends or out to eat and then there are parties that come up occasionally; however, I haven't been to interested in those since my main concern this semester was to get all A's.

For the most part, we attend school sponsored parties, as well as parties hosted by greek organizations. We also attend sporting events, such as basketball and football games. In addition, many students frequent the beach nearby.

They have games quite often as well as a bowling alley and movies shown on friday nights.

There is always a party on the weekends. Also the peninsula and movie theater are not far away. There are plenty of clubs and activities to become involved in.

what you do for fun all depends on the people you meet.

Everyone's definition of fun is different. We have sports games to attend, fashion shows, dance shows, step shows, open mic nights, an open game room, weekend parties, and a shopping outlet with several movies theaters and restaurants near by.

The pennisula which is a shopping center is nearby, kings dominion which is a theme park is an hour away, Buckroe Beach is really nice and the parties on and off campus are every weekend.

I joined the choir, but as spring semester approaches there will be more to join. There are parties almost every weekend and of coarse the harbors and the clubs that require taxis.
