» Read MoreIf you like a smaller university where people will know you, your at the right place! There is always campus events almost every week, so get involved!
» Read MoreSet up a visit to campus if you're interested! Talk with financial aid. See about meeting the program director of whatever major you're looking into. For any school you go to, try to come in with a major in mind. Professors may stress your freshman year that you still have time and it's not a big deal to wait a little and see what fits you, but honestly if you have time now, be thinking about what you would like to do. If you come in with a major selected it can save you lots of time and money, and may help your GPA (some students take hard classes that end up not being required for their major but the grade stays with them!) If you really have no idea though, then yes, take several different classes, talk with people in the field and see what works during your first year. Everything will work out in the end, really! No need to stress. Pick a school that's right for you. See what fits, what atmosphere you like, if your major is offered, etc. Have fun! Searching for a college is exciting, especially when you come across a gem like HSU!
