Create an account now!The first week at campus (welcome weekend for freshamn and transfers) Hartwick puts togother a series of events to help students and families ease into the moving and college process. Oneonta is a very small town, but has a lot of history. There are alot of bars for adult students. The greek life and sports teams parties are very fun. If you prefer to stay on campus you can participate in the many clubs Hartwick has to offer.

Outside campus, the cinemas are only a 5-10 minute drive, and the college provides free busing to and from town. Eateries and creamies are abundant, as well as the common fast foods and dunkin doughnuts/starbucks.

» Read MoreThere is the Southside mall you can go to. There is a bus on campus that can take you there. Albany is only an hour way so if have a car you can drive up there for some good shopping.
» Read MoreThere are always campus activities, but if none of the multitudes of things on campus please you SUCO, the SUNY school next door to Hartwick, has events and concerts, and there are also things to do downtown like bowling, skating, restaurants, parks shopping, or movie theaters. Or you can hang out with friends, watch a movie, go to a theatre show, watch a music concert, or get some extra sleep. There is always something to do.

» Read MoreMain Street is a five minute walk from campus. There are many pizza shops and coffee houses that many people go to. There is also a park and a mall not to far away that you can get to by bus. The bus is free with your student card. On campus almost everyone goes to sporting events. There are also a lot of club activities that are open to the whole campus. On the weekends many people take day trips to Albany or Binghamton.
