My first tip is to check, double check and triple check the transfer guidelines if you are planning on transferring out of HFCC. My second tip is to plan on getting to class at least 20 minutes early to allow yourself enough time to find a parking spot. Unfortunately, one negative aspect of HFCC is the parking lot. My third and final tip, is to avoid missing class as much as possible and if for some reason you do have to miss, make sure that you can provide documentation to excuse your absence. HFCC has a very strict attendance policy and the result of not attending class can have a negative effect on your grade.

Be sure to sign up for your classes early; sciences, math and online classes are the first to fill up. If you are unsure about financial aid, do not be discouraged of the long lines, make sure you talk to someone in the department. There is often extra money out there that you did not know about! If you are hesitant about college or you want to save money while taking prereqs this is the college to attend, can't beat the tution and location.
