Join the honors program! Easy to join and incredibly helpful if you plan to transfer and attend a 4 year University. Try to take day classes, night time can be come a tad dangerous.

For those students who plan on attending or are considering attending Highline, the most important tip that I can give is do not walk around with your eyes glued to your cellphone! There have been countless occurrences within the last year of individuals getting physically assaulted whether simply pushed to the ground or punched in the face in order for thieves to steal their phones or their wallets. Make sure that you are always aware of your surroundings when you walk about alone. In terms of the academics, do not procrastinate! If you are planning to transfer to a 4-year university, consider this an important stepping stone in allowing you a wide range of options in universities that you may want to attend. Work hard and do not try to slide by. Teachers value and respect students who go the extra mile.
