I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hinds these past two years. I participated in band, choir, and the Honors Program. All of them have been excellent and have allowed me to make new friends.

Hinds @ Raymond most students commute, the students who stay in the dorms most go home on weekends. It is a very lonely place, nothing for entertainment, the town is small and has very little in it besides a gas station and dollar general, and all closes around the area about 9ish at night. Police presence is EVERYWHERE, from campus to state and it is almost as if Hinds Community College is in a police like state, is a jail itself. Staff is very unfriendly and non understanding, fellow peers enjoy using one another, fighting, drinking and doing illegal drugs, as well as theiving. I would not reccomend this school to anyone who wants to actually apply themselves at a higher level after high school.
