Since it is a liberal arts college, I spent my first year taking a wide variety of classes to try to figure out what suits me best. It has a huge range and they really encourage their students to have a varied education. There are no required classes but there are ceratin goals that the school makes everyone reach througout the four years.

It is a wonderful college with professors who care about their students. They are always willing to help you during office hours and by email. Here all of your professors know your name and a little about you.

Hobart is a very interesting place with many opportunities available to those students who aren't afraid to go out and get them. The faculty is beyond helpful and will challenge you intellectually if they know you can handle it. Also, the environment on and off campus is a very humble one that forces you to look outside of yourself and ultimately grow as a human being.

Hobart and William Smith is a school with many opportunities, but students have to make the effort to take them. Since it is a very small school, one can tell who is and is not active on campus. There should be more participation in students.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges is a great experience academically and socially. The professors really care about the subjects that they teach, and they really get to know you personally in such a small classroom setting. I have learned so much from my 2 years here so far and can't wait to expand my knowledge into the many different fields that they offer.

HWS provides an excellent liberal arts education. The faculty is amazing, and the staff is friendly. The residential campus is small and beautifully situated at the edge of Seneca Lake.

Hobart and William Smith is more than a school, but a community. Students are encouraged to surpass their preconceived limits for excellence through a diverse 8-goal system, responsive and engaged professors, and thought-provoking class discussions.
