    Greek Life! Or some kind of activity to keep yourself engaged and involved. Hofstra is largely a commuter school, so sometimes it can clear out and if you're not involved with some type of organization you might feel left out.

    IT is an expensive school and expensive place to live if you are living off campus, or going out to the bars, and traveling into the city. Take advantage of all the amenities such as the computer labs, and career center. Make sure to chose you're professors wisely and use rate my professor.

    Try to be involved on campus, join clubs, dance teams, student government,etc. By being involved you can make such great friends that may even be lifelong. Also try to always prioritize between school work,and your social life, it will help you tremendously.
