Notre Dame athletics and Holy Cross hockey are great ways to spend the weekend. Student section tickets at Notre Dame are free for all sports except football ($300/season) and men's basketball ($65/season). Tailgating on football home games is a great reason to get over to campus early and try some of the great food people grill out in the parking lot. Since Holy Cross is a dry campus, parties generally take place off campus. You will find that these are typically much friendlier and more enjoyable than being crammed into a dorm room on Notre Dame's campus. Most of the off-campus houses are very friendly and won't charge guys or girls (obviously) to show up. However this can sometimes result in the party ending a little early once the alcohol runs out so bring your own.

I found the coed athletic events enjoyable. Activities at Notre Dame University and Saint Mary's University are also available for the Holy Cross students to take part in, so there are a variety of options for every student available if one chooses to become an active member of the school.

In the shadow of the University of Notre Dame, campus and the South Bend area has much to offer. From discounted bowling nights, to go-carting, to Notre Dame football/basketball games, and many other student based activities, when the homework is finished, you will find that unwinding will prove to be simple.
