If you take you education seriously I feel that it does not matter where you go to school, although a prestigious university doesn't hurt, it is what you make of it. Being that many of the professors teach at near by universities they know how to give a you challenge when needed. The classes are very informative and may of professors are dedicated to helping their students understand the material.

Everyone I have talked to from my academic advisor to admissions department personnel have all been super nice. Everyone seems very eager to help new students and is knowledgeable about their areas. The facility is always clean and quiet.

From 1-10 I would rate Houston Community a 6. It is a small, two year college and teachers are great. The down fall is financial aid.

HCC is a great college, especially to those of us who may have been out of school for a few years. The professors, staff, and counseling members are very resourceful and thorough when it comes to attending to one of your needs. whether you plan to graduate or transfer out from HCC, I can honestly say this is the place you need to begin your dreams.

Smaller classes helped me to understand the material better. Lots of classes offered all over the campuses, lots of options for students. Katy campus is always busy, good library and lounge.
