    It is definitely cheaper than universities but still pricey if you are paying out of pocket with no financial aid, which was unfortunately my case last semester. I still owe a few hundred dollars before I can sign up for next semester's classes. Financial aid should be kicking in, though.

    Addition to this Houston Community College is about 10-15 minutes away from downtown. Some relaxing study spots are Japanese Garden in Herman park and Discovery Green. There will soon be a new garden in front of the Museum of Nature Science where I am sure that would make a wonderful study spot .Also with the new Metro rail coming up the access to the schools in Houston will be more cheaper and no more stuck in traffic or wondering how long you have to walk.

Save your lunch money that day and buy or receive for free the food the clubs and organizations offer on campus. You will eat great, learn of local restaurants, support good causes and become involved with campus life.
