I am very impressed with the food provided by the university. They have a wide variety of cuisine, and most of it is high qualify. Over the course of the year, you will have tried nearly everything, and you will have to eventually get creative with what meals you make.

Watterson is the place to live. It's the dorm that's closes to most of your classes and the dining hall is right in the building.

The dining center food gets old after a while but it isn't bad. We have a variety of choices at both dining centers that try and accommodate for all tastes.

The food will seem amazing at first but after awhile it just gets old and you'll miss your mom's cooking. In that case just use your Flex dollars and get McAllister's, Einstein's, Burger King, or Subway. That helps. In the dining center chicken strips are basically the best thing to eat. You can always tell if there's good food when there's a long line. Holiday meals are pretty great though.

The food and dining of ISU is dependent upon what side of campus you are on and what your personal taste for certain foods are. The food is definitely no gourmet meal due to things like possible food allergies of students, etc. But it is not at all bad for the amount of people that are being served on a daily. Although sometimes the dining area can be overcrowded, depending on the time of the day, it is another great place to meet new people and spend time with friends.

Illinois State has amazing food for students. Everything looks fresh and they have a healthy menu option too. Illinois State is concerned for their students' health.

How wonderful! There is such a variety of food and they have something that you always want! There does need to be another type of homestyle station though on chicken finger days though because the line becomes too long and wraps around the whole cafeteria.

My friends in Sororities love it. They do have some complaints about fines and deadlines though, but I can not state specifics about greek life without being a part of it.

The sorority life here is typical I suppose, but lots of fun. And not all of the sororities are Greek affiliated, some are philanthropic and for leadership!

When I first became and Illinois State Redbird, I thought that Greek life was not going to be for me. I decided to meet a few sororities at the club fair on the quad at the beginning of the year and I thought that maybe they would be for me. Although I haven't had time with my busy school and work schedule to join one, there are plenty out there for any one who wants to join!

I am personally part of a service fraternity on campus, so I am more engaged in volunteer activities, but there are a several great clubs and fraternities/sororities on campus if you are into that lifestyle.

I was not part of a fraternity or sorority, but I saw many people who were, and heard many stories about the things that happened. If that is your forte, GO FOR IT. Illinois State's Greek organizations will welcome you with open paddles...I mean arms.... ;)
