The quality of the education you get here is really reliant on which specific classes you take. I've had some really challenging, forum-based classes where I felt like I learned a lot, including a lot more beyond just the curriculum. I believe some of these classes really helped me become more perceptive and aware in general, but then, on the other end of the spectrum, I've had classes that are just power points that you copy down every day. They are excruciatingly dull, and the material never really fully sinks in. Being in Hutton Honors college (the honors...

Indiana University represents, to many of its students, the quintessential college experience. It is a large campus with a wide variety of opportunities and organizations to get involved with. If you are looking for a big school with a big personality and lots of school spirit, IU may be the place for you.

I absolutely love Indiana University Bloomington. The freshman advisors and resources really helped me discover the right major for me. All the classes I've had so far have been really engaging and interesting, and the Professors are amazing!

Indiana University is an amazing institution with a lot of opportunities. Life at IU never becomes boring and as a senior you will never want to leave. It is a big campus but it can be as small as you want it to be, depending on what you're involved in.

IU is a great school, is very rigorous, and is known for being very vibrant. Focuses include music, business, journalism, the sciences, the liberal arts, and very strong preparation for graduate school. That said, if you wish to enter the workforce, I'd go somewhere else. Although computing students and business students enjoy good salaries after graduation, IU does not offer any sort of engineering (except MAYBE applied physics). Thus it's difficult to make a good living soon after graduating from IU. I would even go so far as to say that I'd stay away from IU if you're studying pre-med, as IU will absolutely deflate your GPA and kill any dream you've ever had of going to medical school, etc. That said, IU offers excellent research opportunities for those seeking graduate school admission.

When I only have 3 sentences to spare I am just going to go with the greatest cliche of them all. I honestly cannot decide on a place I have felt is as ordained by the 'it's as great as you make it' phrase as IU- Bloomington is. Do not believe the hype that it's all party or all greek life affiliated; believe it is friendly and welcoming in each diverse way with so many wonders you'll graduate before you have felt you have even explore enough.
