Categories Comments What to do for fun there is not much to do in estherville besides hanging out with friends.
Tips for prospective students save your money for school and apply for the scholarships before they are due.
In three sentences there are small class sizes and teachers can give you more attention. the teachers are nice and helpfully and willing to help. students are easy to get along with.

Categories Comments Campus Safety it is very safe and located in a small town. there is rarely(if any) crime. drugs are not as common as you would find in a city.
Greek Life none here.
Clubs and Activities soccer is a sport that i liked to play. also, there are other sports. in addition, one year i was the president of the chemistry club.
Great for these types of students this college is great for slower learners or anybody who requires extra attention. the smaller class rooms are nice and you can get more help that way.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus can't think of any.
Bang for the buck i think it is a great college for the price. you get one on one attention unlike expensive universities. if your not in class teachers will notice and be concerned. they keep you in line usually. at universities you can just skip when you please and then sometimes you don't learn much.
What to do for fun it's a small town, so there isn't a lot to do for fun, but you make the best of it. sports and working out are two things that i enjoyed doing. also, you can hang with friends and etc.
Food and Dining the food is what you would expect at any college. it's not too bad. also, it is nice to see your friends at lunch time.
Dorm Life can't say much about the dorm life. i didn't live in the dorms. my friends seemed to enjoy it though.
Academic Rigor teachers stay and help after classes and come before classes as well. they do whatever they can to make sure the student is set for their future career. they provide the knowledge and tools to help the students become successful in whatever career they choose to go into.
Tips for prospective students don't skip class. always try your best to prove to yourself that you can do it. be courteous of your fellow students around you.
In three sentences great one on one classroom attention. teachers know what they are doing. good learning atmosphere.

Greek Life there are not greek life on campus.
Clubs and Activities there are various clubs and activities to join depending on your interests.
Great for these types of students great for low budget students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus homecoming, and wintergames are always fun.
What to do for fun most students go the the bowling alley, bars, drive-in in superior, the movie theatre, ice-fishing, regular fishing around the surrounding lakes, enjoy winter games in january and the clay county fair in september.

Academic Rigor the more you put into your academics the more that you will get out of them.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There is a wellness center where you can swim and workout for a discount. It is a very nice facility. The town also has a lake and a movie theatre that students can get a discount for.
Food and Dining I also don't eat the food, but the Trio SSS people have some pretty good treats.
Dorm Life I don't live in the dorms, but I have heard both bad and good things about the.
Academic Rigor The classes are difficult, but they aren't impossible. They are testing your knowledge.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid to ask for help. The instructors are more than happy to help you.
In three sentences I think Iowa Lakes is a very good school for nursing. They have amazing instructors that will help you every step of the way. They are very easy to get along with and learn from.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is very important to the school. We have monthly meetings and we go over the rules. They are pretty clear and straight forward but no one ever really has a problem.
Clubs and Activities They're lots of things you can do. There are signs up throughout the year and its's very easy to get involved. Going to sports games is one of the many things students do throughout the year.
What to do for fun Estherville is a small town but there are tons of things to do. Many of us go to the park and play frolf. The school also puts on activities almost weekly so there is always something to do.
Food and Dining I think breakfast is everyone favorite thing at Iowa Lakes. There is always a salad bar if you do not like the choices given. The cooks are great, very friendly, and they always seem to know you personally after awhile.
Dorm Life The dorm life at Iowa Lakes is great. Everyone always seems to get along. Give your new roommate or roommates a chance it's an experience you won't forget!
Academic Rigor The education at Iowa Lakes is a lot like high school. It gives you a chance to really see what college is like so you are ready for a university. Make sure you study hard and keep focused it's easy to do when you don't have you're parents around!
Tips for prospective students Make sure you know what you're school offers and take all the help you can get! Visit the campus, Estherville's happens to be very inviting and relaxing. Also, make sure you get involved and pick where you would be most comfortable to live.
In three sentences Iowa Lakes is a great way to start your college experiences. It's an easy change from high school and you can do just about anything. It is also one of the top schools for wind energy if you're interested!

Clubs and Activities Laker Life is a spiritual group where you can connect with others and grow in faith. They go on a mission trip every year and have monthly events. Other groups including music, art, and photography.
Great for these types of students Iowa Lakes has a popular wind technology course and aviation program.
Bang for the buck Iowa Lakes has low tuition cost and affordable dorm living.
What to do for fun Iowa Lakes offers many different groups and clubs. They also have their sports teams.
Food and Dining There is three meals a day offered during the week. Breakfast is great. Always fresh food for breakfast. Lunch offers a variety of food, but depending on the time you get to lunch it is not the freshest. Dinner does not have a good variety of food. Mostly unhealthy foods are offered during the dinner meal. This could be improved to offer more healthy choices.
Dorm Life There are three different dorm locations offered. Lots of space so your not stuck in a crowded room. The dorm coordinator is helpful with any problems with the dorm itself and roommate situations.
Academic Rigor Attendance is very important in all classes. If you are not in class it is hard to learn.
Tips for prospective students Ask for help if you need it. Very helpful staff and there are many resources available for students.
