ISU has so many different clubs and organizations that you can get involved in. Also we have two great workout facilities so I would say you should also go there.

There are hundreds of clubs and organizations to get involved in around campus. But there are also little activities that are always posted in the monthly calendar that is sent out to every student living on campus. Anyone can find something new to try out.

The biggest thing is to join clubs and I definitely recommend joining a sorority or fraternity if you are eligible. There are also dances and a bowling alley that are really fun to go to and Iowa State is really close to stores with buses called cyride that take you around town.

There are all kinds of things to do for fun both on and off campus. Off campus there is a couple movie theaters, bowling alley, a game arcade with laser tag and various other fun stuff inside, and several others. On campus there are a ton of classes that you can take such as dance or pretty much anything you can think of. There is also a bowling alley, an ice rink, a couple gyms with equipment for those who like to work out, lots of basketball courts for the ballers out there, and turf for soccer and any other sport or recreation activity desired. There are outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer/football fields. Live music concerts, comedian acts, and movie nights are available to everyone as well.

Every weekend Iowa State hosts a movie in one of the buildings that is free for students and their guests. Thursday through Sunday twice a night a movie that has just been released will play with no cost to anyone. there are always frat houses that throw parties on weekends, and most of the time one can find a party in the dorms as well. There are cable hookups in every dorm room, so if you feel like staying in, and have a TV, that is another option. If you are over 21, campustown is a good place to go wander, as there are a ton of bars and parties there. The cyride, with all its many routes, can take you pretty much anywhere in the city, so the possibilities are endless.

There are plenty of clubs to join and events to go to, with Clubfest showing students what they should join to enhance their ISU experience. There is usually always something fun going on in Howe Hall, the engineering building. They have flight contests at the end of the semester for Aerospace Engineers and it's really fun to watch no matter what major you are in. Then there is VEISHEA, held annually at Iowa State, which is an old traditional celebration at ISU that showcases many of the things ISU has to offer, including sports, food, and other entertainment.
