Out of state tuition is pretty high but you get access to all the gyms, which are all really nice and have high quality machines and equipment, free buss pass, and you get inexperience that will last a lifetime.

Iowa State as a whole, is not an entirely expensive school to go to. The experience you get, in my personal opinion, is worth way more. There are so many people to meet not just from Iowa, but from everywhere in the world. I roomed with international students on 2 different occasions (and other people I knew as well), and both from different countries. It's fantastic to learn not just from professors or classes, but from your peers as well. The rooming, dining, and Main Street in their entirety, are fantastic considering the tuition.

The best bang for the buck is the whole experience as far as education and entertainment. If you like the smaller town atmosphere with a lot of big city options near by you have the right school.

If you come here, you will get a great education, opportunities, and career experience before you even graduate all for a great cost. I highly recommend this school even for out of state students. It is an amazing school!
