Our mission at Jacksonville University is to prepare each student for life-long success in learning, achieving, leading, and serving. We accomplish this mission in a small, comprehensive, independent university community located within a vibrant metropolitan setting. The University serves an ethnically and geographically diverse, predominantly undergraduate student body, as well as adult learners in selected undergraduate and graduate programs. Sometimes you think you understand until you're asked; that's when you challenge yourself and find if you understand the material at hand. The subject doesn't matter. The professors there will learn your name and know your capacity pretty soon. If you need help. Help is everywhere! tutoring programs by subject are free. read full review

JU is unlike a lot of large colleges. Don't expect overly crowded classrooms and long lines in the on-campus eateries. The only part of the school that isn't built to accommodate the number of students would be the parking lot, so on Sunday-Wednesday, plan to be home as early as possible to minimize the walk from your car to your dorm. The atmosphere is very relaxed; a fair representation of life in the Jacksonville area. read full review
