James Madison University is known for it's yummy food! We have over ten dining halls/places to eat on campus. There are two dining halls where it is buffet style (D-hall and E-hall). There are also many places where you can get a variety of food such as pizza, pasta, sub sandwiches, chicken wraps, etc.

The food at JMU is excellent. It gives students the opportunity to eat nutritious meals. It also provides a great variety, including options for vegans, vegetarians, kosher, etc.

JMU has been #4 and #5 on the Princeton Review for food these past few years. The food here is great. We have 8 dining halls; 2 of which are all you can eat. The food will not disappoint.

Greek life on campus is noticeable, but not overwhelming. There's a sorority row on campus and a few fraternity houses just off campus. In addition to social greek organiztions, there are volunteer, cultural, and academic ones to choose from too.

If you are interested in Greek Life, there are many fraternities and sororities that you could join. If you are not interested in it, it is not a big deal. You don't have to be involved in Greek Life in order to be involved at JMU.

I'm not into it personally, but I know that JMU is better about not letting people get hazed than most schools are. For example, the worst hazing I've seen so far is a guy standing by the milk in a dining hall saying moo to everyone who got milk.
