Johnson & Wales is what you make of it. If you don't really put yourself out there and become involved, you won't get much. The people there are really chill, the professors and chefs I have had so far push you a lot, which is awesome. Remember, it's what you make of it, be involved!
» Read MoreThe school has such a community feel to everything they do. I'm almost never home sick because you always stay busy, and there is always something fun to do. Everyone is nice too! When coming here as a freshman, it's not hard to make friends at all everyone just says hi to everyone!
» Read MoreI LOVE IT HERE!!!! Everyone is really super nice, so you'll definitely be able to find someone that you can connect with; especially since the campus is small. Which makes getting around campus really easy too!!! Plus there's always different activities going on, I love arriving to school each day to see what's in store for me! I looked at a lot of big campuses, but at JWU it felt like home and I was really comfortable.
» Read MoreJWU does have some good qualities. However, it is not the correct fit for me at all and I am transferring after this year. If you plan on coming to JWU, I would highly suggest having a car. The public transit system is very sketchy and if you're stuck on campus all the time, you get extremely bored. Also, the school's wifi is unbelievably slow; I had to purchase a personal internet router to be able to do homework and research on my laptop without having to use the labs in the academic building. Also, I love sports and there isn't a lot of sporting events or school spirit. I feel that coming to JWU does not give you the proper college experience that most seek. Many other people I know are transferring because they feel the same as me. I, as well as many others, came to JWU seeking a four year degree but now after being here, are switching to a two year degree and tranferring to a better fitting university.
