Around Town

We are in viewing distance of the mountains, so some will spend their weekends skiing, snowboarding, camping (when it is warm of course) or even just to spend a day going for a refreshing hike. Others will choose to hit Downtown Denver for a night of clubbing at the various clubs. We are close to the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and even the Denver Art Museum! If you're a Colorado Rockies fan, the Rockies Stadium is close by as well. There is ALWAYS something to do, and it may even be on campus where we will host Coffee Night, Komedy Korner, Midnight Breakfast, etc.

Downtown is only 20 minutes away and a big shopping center is right down the street.

Go the 16th street mall and you can be walking around for hours and still not see everything. The cherry creek mall has some great places to go to that has great movie theater. If you love animals visit the city zoo that is fun and educational for everyone.

The University's Campus Activity Board provides activities year round to entertain the student body. Some examples are casino night, a cinema showcase every other week, dances, late night dinners the last night of every term, and Denver outings.

There are so many clubs you can join on campus and there are always activities to join in on, its all about putting yourself out there. But if you do, you will have a great time. There are also other activities near that are off campus.

Denver is a fabulous city with lots of sports and restaurants, and there is lots to do off campus. On campus, however, fosters a connected and tight-knit community that boasts lots of clubs and activities of all different sorts, such as frisbee gold, acapella club, and ice chippers club.

Join clubs!!! There are so many amazing clubs and extracurricular activities to be a part of, no matter what your tastes, interests, or majors are. Also, there is a bounty of amazing things to do in Denver just around the corner from the school. Get out, explore and live a little.

There is a lot to do here, and every event is made where fun is always involved

At JWU we have small groups called WIGIS groups and they help us interact with other students here. They are also quite small so its more close together.
