Wait until after the first day of class to buy a textbook-- some professors don't use the textbook at all and you can save yourself lots of time and money this way.

Get your books ahead of time, come to class prepared, make sure to have your KVCC ID with you at all times. If you are struggling in a class be sure to ask for help from your instructor or go to the tutoring lab.

Take advantage of all the different student services. They are set up to actually help you succeed and graduate and they will help in any aspect possible. It's been more than I've ever experienced at any other college.

Schedule your classes as early as possible, even if you're undecided about a major/minor. Also, contact financial aid/scholarship staff members who can help you earn free money for college quickly and without too much hassle.

Prior to enrolling into classes you should meet with career services so you can start taking classes that will lead you toward your career.
