    If you plan on attending Kean, it is alright if you switch between majors. My first year at Kean, I had thought of switching between four majors. However, because the school's community is so close, you can talk to almost any adviser in order to guide you on the right path, regarding what you want to do. So, don't stress if you're confused about what to major in!

    Do not skip class frequently; many professors help your final grade if you attend class regularly. Always participate in group discussions, they are usually a crucial part of your grade.

    - Tuition rates are fairly low compared to most other 4-year schools near the central NJ area. - Students interested in design and visual arts may find good opportunities here, as there's been a strong focus on the design department. - Commuting by car is NOT recommended as traffic and parking are huge issues for many students. Commute by train via NJTRANSIT.

    A tip for any future Kean at Ocean students: not all of the classes you will need for your degree will be located at the Toms River campus, which is not what they originally tell you. Make sure you follow your degree program exactly and you will do fine.
