Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students interested in the Criminal Justice field that want an active role in investigating crime scenes by working hand in hand with other people in an agency to solve a crime. Students that can work well in groups Students who take the role of a leader Students that don't mind blood, the smell of a corpse etc. Students that can detach themselves from a situation, yet are noble enough to understand the victims, and their families.
Tips for prospective students Take your time to learn the information. Use your laptop to quickly type in notes from lectures. LISTEN to your instructor, because you never want to mess up a crime scene. If you focus, you will have all the necessary tools and information to do the job.
Bang for the buck We did things hands on, therefore we needed a variety of tools like fingerprint powder, evidence bags, cameras etc. The cameras alone cost a fortune! We were the only school that had the opportunity to use the cameras and learn about properly taking images for crime scenes. Definitely a bang for my buck!
Did enjoy being here We did TONS of hands on work and we visited places like the county morgue, county jail, county crime lab, etc. This further enhanced my knowledge of the field.
Did learn a lot I learned everything from fingerprinting to using the right tools for analyzing, collecting and preserving evidence. I also learned about police protocol, and the dangers that can occur on the job and how to avoid being in a hazardous situation.

Bang for the buck The tuition at Keiser is somewhat expensive but I definitely feel that it will be worth it.
Am enjoying being here I believe I will enjoy being a student at this university. I feel honored that they have accepted me to be apart of their family.
Am learning a lot Actually I have just recently been accepted to Keiser University but as I can tell so far the university staff are highly educated and very effective in helping their students acquire their goals. I am looking forward to the experience of attending Keiser University.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Good for students who want to cook, go into teaching, criminal justice, etc.
Tips for prospective students If you are not sure about your Major or are thinking of a major but you want more information on it go to Keiser and talk to someone in that field. They have been helpful to me for over a year of trying to get in and now I'm going to get my college education.
Bang for the buck Keiser is a little pricey but financial aid councilors work with you to help you figure out payment plans or other things you need. I always talk to my councilor and she always answers or calls back to help me with my questions or needs.
Will enjoy being here Keiser has a friendly atmosphere, every time I go to see my councilor they are always in a good mood and glad to help. Its a good friendly environment.
Will learn a lot Keiser has many fields of study and teachers and tutors who will help you when you need it.

Categories Comments What to do for fun NOT POSITIVE. I ENGINEER FOR P.M.E WHEN I AM NOT WORKING OR IN SCHOOL. IT'S A LITTLE MUSIC PRODUCTION STUDIO; MY SIDE PASSION.
Food and Dining I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE FOOD AND DINING YET, BUT ON THE OCCASIONS THAT I DID VISIT THE CAMPUS, IT SURE DID SMELL DELICIOUS.
Dorm Life I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH DORM LIFE AND I AM ALMOST POSITIVE THAT THE STUDENTS DONT RESIDE ON CAMPUS.
Academic Rigor THIS SCHOOL LETS YOU CONCENTRATE ON ONE SUBJECT PER MONTH, 3 DAYS A WEEK, 4 HOURS PER DAY. THIS KEEPS YOU FOCUSED ON THAT PARTICULAR SUBJECT AND YOU RECEIVE YOUR CREDIT AS SOON AS THE MONTH/COURSE IS OVER. THIS TECHNIQUE IS HONESTLY THE MAIN REASON I DECIDED TO CHECK THE SCHOOL OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE. ALL THE OTHER PLUSES CAME ALONG AFTERWARDS.
Tips for prospective students THE SCHOOL IS VERY FLEXIBLE, SO IF YOU WORK FULL-TIME AND NEED TO TAKE A FEW CLASSES ONLINE, I'D RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO. I'M CURRENTLY TAKING MY COMPUTER COURSE ONLINE AND I LOVE IT.
In three sentences KEISER UNIVERSITY MAKES THE WHOLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE CONVIENIENT AND FUN. IT'S THE BEST SCHOOL IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. I WOULDN'T TRADE SCHOOLS EVEN IF I WAS PAID TO.

Categories Comments Campus Safety there is a guard on duty during open hours. a sticker is required to park and a name badge to be on campus, but enforcement is negligible.
Greek Life none, really.
Clubs and Activities there are a couple of clubs that have to do with leadership and outstanding gpa.
Great for these types of students motivated and meticulous.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus graduated students come back to visit the teachers.
Bang for the buck ok bang, big buck.
What to do for fun melbourne has a ton of great things to do, though none are affiliated with the school.
Food and Dining vending machines only. occasionally, the culinary program will serve lunch or sell bakery items.
Dorm Life no dorms.
Academic Rigor i'm in the nuclear medicine program. it is 3 1/2 semesters with the semester units at 22, 17, 17, and 11, respectively. i couldn't work and do this at the same time. other programs are less vigorous, though.
Tips for prospective students get everything in writing. i have encountered many students who find out they have to pay more than they thought they would ... including me.
In three sentences keiser university is your typical private college. the instructors are knowledgable, the staff less so. in the end, i would say it is a good education, but money is the bottom line.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Fast learner, new class every month,
Tips for prospective students Be sure you are a fast pace learner. Classes go by quick and hard to retain all information at once if you do not learn quick.
Bang for the buck School is not so big. Library should be bigger and have more computers. They only have one printer and it constantly has problems. Some employees at school do not treat you like a paying customer. (they are rude and not polite)
Am enjoying being here Classes go faster pace than normal.
Am learning a lot Professors are well qualified for the classes they teach.

Bang for the buck My goal is to get every opportunity out of my classes, to achieve and advance my education to become a mentor to others needing an opportunity for advancement or change in our community.
Am enjoying being here My counselor was very persistent in contacting me to make sure their was a place for me when I decided to attend class. Great for these types of students it is a great campus for those who like 1 class a month, small class sizes and plenty of great professors and tutors.

What to do for fun you can join local school clubs and earn new friends every day.
Food and Dining they do have a cafeteria area, but is not far from outside food places.
Dorm Life there are no dorms at this college.
Academic Rigor they have an open schedule on if you want a day class, night class or mix of class times. they are careful and strict about attendance as they want you to pass your classes and do your best.
Tips for prospective students come prepared for your admission into the college. bring an open mind and plenty of questions to ask. apply for scholarships and grants prior as well. they will help.
In three sentences keiser university is a great college that has a small campus and small classes. the admissions and financial admins are friendly and a great help. the college is willing to work with you so you can meet your goals.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is a security officer on campus at all times.
Bang for the buck Keiser is very expensive but does offer financial assistance and loans. I think it is worth it just to get my degree faster and start my new, awesome career in occupational therapy!
What to do for fun Like I said, Daytona Beach people. There is so much to do! You will never be bored. There is the beach, great night clubs, malls, restaurants, the Nascar speed way, the boardwalk with carnival type places to visit, go-cart track, , mini-golf, etc..
Food and Dining The Keiser I attend is in Daytona Beach, Fl so there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment. There are a few deli's that give Keiser student's a discount.
Academic Rigor Very rigorous program as you have read from my previous notes.
Tips for prospective students I recommend not working due to the heavy workload the school provides.
In three sentences Keiser University is an accelerated college. Be ready to study hard and take a mid-term, quizzes, post test, and final in one month. It is very rewarding though knowing you will be finished in sixteen months, rather than twenty-four months. I'll be working and making an income while the college down the street is still in class.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Keiser University puts out a safety report for all the campuses here in Florida and has always from what I have read the lowest on any type of incidents compaed to any university or college.
Bang for the buck Prices are not bad here in Daytona Beach. There are plenty of coupons in the local paper that help take the sting out of the wallet and lets you do more things for your money.
What to do for fun Off school activities, of course the world famous beaches of Daytona, as well the Daytona International Speedway that has something monthly going on, miniature golf courses, go kart courses, as well walking/ biking trails. Always something to do as well volunteering for charity events.
Food and Dining University has break area with typical machines as well microwaves if you bring leftovers to heat up. There are quick food restaurants close to the campus as well.
Dorm Life No dorm facilities at Daytona Beach, FL site.
Academic Rigor The university operates on a 4.0 scale. Majority of classes are under the Gordon rule which simply means C or higher to pass. Between the professors and students that are here to help, the support is great here and there is no reason to fail.
Tips for prospective students Perspective students, this is a high paced class. Focus on priorities as well time management in order to succeed here. You will have the support to make it here at Keiser!
In three sentences Great university that has small class sizes and you’re not a number. Focus is one subject a month, without a confusing or the heavy burden of other classes. An example of class hours is Mon-Tues-Thurs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well they offer night classes and the online program, any way you go there always great support

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Any student that is on a time cruntch to get through school, working and needing to take care of a family without prolonged time away from home, been out of school for a while or not straight out of high school. These seem to be the best fits for the school because you don't have to wait years to get through a course. Your finished in a timely manner and your able to go out and provide for yourself or family as needed much faster.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I have not encountered any that I can think of.
Bang for the buck Keiser may be a little bit more expensive compared to other schools in the area, but they will not put you on a waiting list for years and have you taking classes that you don't need to necessarily need for your course of study. Sometimes you have to pay more money to get through school in a timely manner without all the bumps in the road slowing you down.
What to do for fun Hanging out with friends and family is the best thing to do for fun. Having a support system and people who love you around you all the time makes life enjoyable.
Food and Dining Really wish Keiser had a cafeteria or at least food that wasn't out of a vending machine. It may not be really not hours at school but sometimes food helps you think and we all know food is the happiness of students.
Dorm Life Keiser is not a live on campus school. This does not apply.
Tips for prospective students If your looking for a school that is always willing to help their students out, has a open door policy for any issue, and wants to see you succeed and willing to help you job search after graduation if needed, then Keiser University is the school for you. Don't hesitate to make your future brighter with an education, its never too late.
In three sentences Very helpful in all areas that pertain to schooling. An excelled version of school that gets you out into the field and working faster than any other school. Dressed for professionalism and success!

Categories Comments Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus This does not apply to me.
Bang for the buck Keiser is a professional college, although there are younger students, there are also several my age that have gone back to college. I just like the accelerated pace and the fact that classes are done in 4 weeks!

Food and Dining This does not apply to me.
Dorm Life This does not apply to me.
Academic Rigor I have a 3.96 average and I love this school!
Tips for prospective students I work for the State of Florida and yes, they would pay for my schooling; however, I believe you get what you pay for and Community College and fighting for classes just wasn't for me. I like having my schedule predetermined from my first day I always know where I am going the next month; it allows me more time to worry about the things in life that need my attention!
In three sentences I like Keiser because they were friendly from my very first visit and my admissions counselor was extremely helpful! Keiser fits in with my schedule, I like the expedited four week classes and the fact that you take one class per month.

What to do for fun Only a couple of minutes from downtown Sarasota, as well as the beach. Few hours from Tampa.
Food and Dining In the middle of a growing town with a shopping center and plenty of food places to eat at.
Dorm Life No on site living
Academic Rigor The school is tough but it will be the most helpful in making you successful in your career.
Tips for prospective students This school will give you the tools to be the best in your profession, but only if you utilize the tools. Always try your best because it will help you. The teachers are there to help you but only if you show the want to learn.
In three sentences The class curriculum is intense and fast paced. The teachers expect alot out of you because it is a fast pace environment for you to learn as much as you can before you start your career. This environment is best though because most jobs are going to be the same way especially in hospitals so even though it seems tough it is the most helpful way to prepare you for your career.

As a single mother, finding time to go back to school was difficult. They also have career fairs and fundraisers that are held at the school and a great way to get to know fellow classmates and work together.

However, if you need further assistance outside of what you can handle, do not hesitate to ask someone.

Food and Dining I have still not been into the cafeteria part of Keiser University but every time I am there for advising and getting enrolled I am always offered beverages and light snacks.
Dorm Life Dorming is not an option at Keiser University. Most people that enroll are not your typical students. They have families, jobs and other responsibilities that keep them from being at the school around the clock.
Academic Rigor I was pleased with the fact that all the academics at Keiser revolve around a medical degree. It makes your time more enjoyable when you have that in common with your peers.
Tips for prospective students Do not be discouraged. The advisors are eager to be there for you and explain the details that you need to know in order to get through the process.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Keiser does have ONE security officer on campus at all times. The office has his own patrol car and usually stays outside of the building.
Greek Life Keiser does not have a Greek life. There are no fraternities.
Clubs and Activities There is not clubs such as sports, etc. There is however, clubs such as honors, student committee, etc.
Great for these types of students Keiser is great for students with families or kids. They work around your schedule. You can either go to school in the morning or at night. If you have a hard time focusing, this school is great for you. You only have one class per month. They also provide online schooling to certain programs that apply. For example, general education classes. The student to teacher ratio is very small. The largest class I've been in was a class of 27. Teachers do a great job teaching the material they need to teach.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus One academic subject is taught per month.
Bang for the buck Keiser is a very expensive school for claiming to be a non-profit school. The positive side of this school is that it is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools , and they help you find a job. Although, a job is not guaranteed. In general education classes I do not feel like I learned anything but the clinical classes I do feel like I've learned a lot.
What to do for fun There is not really anything to do for fun in Keiser. This is a school for students that need to go to school but also have jobs, and families to take care of. Most students go in, and go out.
Food and Dining Keiser's cafeteria is very small. It is in the middle of class rooms, and the library/deans office so there is high traffic going in and out. There is 5 vending machines. 4 of snacks 1 of drinks. Usually the students go to the gas station of KFC to buy lunch. There is only 2 microwaves.
Dorm Life Keiser does not have dorm rooms. All housing is personal housing.
Academic Rigor I don't not feel that Keiser's gen eds classes are challenging enough. I felt as if I was repeating high school all over again. Sure, people want to get by knowing they will get an A but the whole purpose of college is to learn. The clinical classes are amazing you do learn a lot.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to look up reviews before attending this university. Do not be quick to attend. To each his own if you are looking for a real college experience this school is not for you. *WARNING* Keiser's Financial aid harasses for money. There is always something new they bring up, and there is always something new they come up with to make you pay. They try to base your FASFA off of someone else's income. As in your mother, father, or whoever you live with if you do not have the proper income to support yourself. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME!!!

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Our food trailers is amazing, and it is very popular, but a very unusual hangout place.
Bang for the buck As we all know, it is not inexpensive to go to Keiser University. Some people don't understand why... and this is due to the number of degrees they offer, for a very short amount of time, the hands on training and practice the students get in the lab, on the job, and in the classrooms. I think that this school is amazing , and i don't and will not have any regrets about my choice to attend this college.

They get you on a curriculum that is direct for what program you choose. Categories Comments Campus Safety I feel safe everyday i go to school, there is a guard always in the parking lot watching over the cars and the safety of the students.
Greek Life There really isn't a greek life however they do offer a Honor society.
Clubs and Activities Not really the school to go if you looking for a clubs.
Great for these types of students If you the kind of student who doesn't want to have the load of taking 4 classes at once and like to focus on on subject at a time then Keiser is fo you.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Well, there is only 2 building on my campus in Lakeland, which seems a little strange but its nice.
Bang for the buck Its expensive school, but i really don't know another school out there that offer the flexible hours and one class a month schedule.
What to do for fun They offer clubs and do events on campus at least once a month.
Food and Dining There isn't a dining hall, however there are break rooms where you can heat up you food and some vending machines that do have salads, and subs in them. The food is good and in expensive.
Dorm Life There are no dorms.

Categories Comments Campus Safety MOSTLY EVERYONE HERE EXUDES A MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE DEMEANOR. SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR SAFETY BEING PUT IN JEOPARDY.
Greek Life THERE ARE NO SORORITIES AND SUCH HERE. THIS IS BUSINESS NOT THE MALL!
Clubs and Activities AS IT STANDS I HAVEN'T CHECKED OUT ANY OF THE CLUBS YET... AND I LIKELY WON'T HAVE THE TIME.
Great for these types of students YOU MUST BE HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND WELL DISCIPLINED. A PERSONALITY TYPES WILL STRIVE! BEST FOR PEOPLE WHO FOCUS MORE ON ACADEMICS THAN ON SOCIALIZING. MUST ALSO BE A LITTLE TOUGH SKINNED BECAUSE THIS IS LIKE A DOG EAT DOG KIND OF PLACE. THE ENVIRONMENT IS VERY COMPETITIVE AND EVEN STUDENTS WHO AREN'T IN THE SAME PROGRAM AS YOU WILL COME OFF AS THOUGH THEY'RE HOPING FOR YOU TO FAIL.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus WELL THE LOCATION ISN'T TOO BAD FOR ME. I TAKE 2 BUSES TO GET TO THE FT. LAUDERDALE CAMPUS ON COMMERCIAL BLVD AND 15TH AVE. IT'S KIND OF SITUATED BEHIND A HOTEL. COMMERCIAL IS A VERY BUSY MAIN STREET SO YOU DEFINITELY GET THE CITY VIBE OF THIS CAMPUS.
Bang for the buck OK SO THIS ISN'T LIKE YOUR RUN OF THE MILL COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THIS IS A PRIVATE INSTITUTION. THE COST FOR TUITION IS SUPER EXPENSIVE EVEN IF YOU QUALIFY TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID AND STUDENT LOANS. IT COST NEARLY $2000 PER CLASS. SO THIS IS A MOTIVATING FORCE TO TRY YOUR HARDEST TO PASS EACH CLASS. WHO CAN AFFORD TO JUST THROW AROUND A COUPLE OF GRAND?
What to do for fun I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE LONG ENOUGH TO REALLY FIND OUT WHAT FUN ACTIVITIES EXIST. BUT WITH THE AMOUNT OF WORK WE'RE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE WHO HAS TIME FOR FUN?!
Food and Dining I USUALLY PACK MY OWN LUNCH EACH DAY BUT I'VE HEARD, AND SMELLED, THE GOOD HOT MEALS THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE ON CAMPUS FOR LIKE $6 A PLATE. I'M TALKING CHICKEN FINGERS, FRENCH FRIES.... THE WHOLE NINE YARDS! MMMMMM.....FOOD = ))
Dorm Life THERE ARE NO DORMS WITH THESE CAMPUSES
Academic Rigor YOU'VE GOT TO BRING YOUR A GAME HERE. UNLIKE YOUR TRADITIONAL COLLEGES, ALL CLASSES AT KEISER UNIVERSITY ARE DESIGNED TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN JUST 1 MONTH. THAT MEANS THERE'S A TON OF WORK AND STUDYING REQUIRED! SO THERE'S NO TIME TO HORSE AROUND. MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 3.0 AVERAGE IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED INTO YOUR PROGRAM OF CHOICE ONCE ALL YOUR GENERAL ED CREDITS ARE SATISFIED. AFTERWARDS, YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN AN AVERAGE OF AT LEAST A 2.75. THESE PROGRAMS ARE GEARED TOWARDS GAINING A REAL SKILL SO YOU WON'T BE REQUIRED TO TAKE UNNECESSARY COURSES.
Tips for prospective students MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GAINING A SKILL. THIS ISN'T THE PLACE FOR SOMEONE WHO JUST WANTS TO GO TO SCHOOL AND TAKE A COUPLE OF YEARS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY WANT TO DO WITH THEIR LIFE. ONCE YOU DECIDE TO ATTEND THIS INSTITUTION IT'S BECAUSE YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND WHERE YOU WANT TO HEAD.
In three sentences I GIVE KEISER U 4 OUT OF 5 STARS. THERE THE BEST PLACE TO ATTEND IF YOUR LOOKING TO REALLY GAIN A CAREER. THE ENVIRONMENT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN WHICH CONTRIBUTES TO OVERALL APPEAL OF THE CAMPUS.
