If you commute, drive to class earlier than you think you need to. Parking is sometimes a hot mess and you'll have to drive around a little bit. Buy a STURDY umbrella, I cannot emphasize sturdy enough. It is very windy on campus and if you have a cheap one, it will flip inside out and you will find yourself wet and soggy.

Go to DKS. It will help you make friends and get to know the campus before you come back in the fall. Get involved. There are so many different things to do here on campus. If eligible go to Kupita. You get to move in early and you get to meet new people. You also get very well acquainted with the student multicultural center and everyone who works there.
