The cafeteria is nice, but the food options aren't the greatest. You also have to drive a little ways to find good restaurants.

The main dining area (Ernie's) was decent. Not the best but definitely not the worst. However, they just opened up Einstein's through the Kettering meal plan, that is awesome for breakfast. Also BJ's lounge had food for dinner, and they make awesome food. So overall with those 3 dinning options it's pretty good!

The food has gotten better and they continue to work on it. You can use your meal plan to buy stuff from Einstein's bagels which is right across the street, and they also have a kitchen in a lounge downstairs that serves food until like 1am during the week. There is also a small convince store inside our Campus Center which is kind of like a student union. We call theSunrise Cafe which is our Cafeteria, Ernie because some guy used to work there named Ernie. It is recently remodeled and the food has gotten better, but its not the greatest. There are normally quite a few options, but being a small school it's not like other places that have a ton of options. But it is all you can eat so if you like most food then it's good for you.

There are only really 4 places to get food at Kettering (1 being the school cafeteria and another being a small store inside the campus center building). The other 2 places: BJ's Lounge and Einstein Bros. have decent food (free with your student account). However, the meal exchange selection menu is limited for both venues. You'll often find yourself eating the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday. Occassionally there will be greek cookouts and other events, which are the only deviation from the school food.

It started out very poor and after a lot of surveys and meetings, Kettering is changing their dining options, and there are a lot better qualities and different varieties of food on or around campus.

There is a cafe located next to the dorms on campus at Kettering. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday to Friday, as well as brunch and dinner on weekends. The cafe has a large selection of food ranging from pastas, pizzas and grilled items, to salads, cooked meals, and desserts. Students are required to buy the meal plan for at least 1 academic term.

I did not eat there, so I cannot really give a good opinion. Einstein's Bagels did just open adjacent to campus!

Iâ??ve heard horror stories about college food before I made it to high school so I came in with low expectations. But I was shocked when I realized that the food was not bad at all. No it is not your mother or grandmothers cooking but itâ??s also not what you expect college food to be like. At Kettering the dining hall is called Sunrise Café, but it is known to the students and the Alumni as Ernieâ??s. Ernieâ??s is open for breakfast lunch and dinner during the week days and brunch and dinner on the weekends. All dishes for every meal are served buffet style. There is always a soup of the day, an open salad bar as well as a deli counter where cold cut sandwiches are served. You can also count on there being pizza with an assortment of different toppings, the grill station that serves fries and burgers and all other grilling items and a pasta dish with different sauces bread and mixed vegetables. There is also a main dish that the head chef pre-pares every night. Sometime the days are themed so there might be a special ethnic dish or sometimes it will simply be the chefs choice, my favorite is when the chef decides to make breakfast for dinner. There is also a dessert bar that always has an assortment of cookies, cakes, pies and ice cream. Since Ernieâ??s does close at 7pm on week days and 6:30pm on weekends there is a Campus Center Store, which is open every day from 8am to 11pm, the Campus Center Store or CC for short has everything your local convenience store would have, college campus safe of course and it comes in handy when youâ??re in need of a study snack.

There are party fraternities, geeky fraternities, gear head fraternities and everything in between. No matter what kind of guy you are, you will fit in at one of them. There are only 2 sororities in B section. But they are both easy to get into if you put in the time, and plaster a friendly smile on your face.

We have a great Greek Life, but it's not what you would find at other schools. Most of the people that join Greek Life here, wouldn't have joined if they went to another school. There are way more fraternities than sororities obviously because our campus is 82% male. But we all enjoy our time together and that doesn't stop us from having fun. Recruitment is always great and you will find people you fit in with. Those of us who join a Greek group have a higher chance of graduating because it provides a great support system in a very stress filled time. I am part of a sorority and I love it, but I wouldn't have joined one at another school We all understand that school comes first, and while it is a huge commitment, I still maintain a 4.0 gpa and do other activities. I suggest that you at least look into Greek Life if you attend Kettering, because it's not what you may think, and it may be exactly whaty ou are looking for.

Greek life is big on campus, mostly because the campus is very small. Most people you meet are in a fraternity or will be in one. Because a majority of the people will go greek, they are very welcoming and defintely the highlight of the university.

Not stereotypical Greek Life. Around 60% of campus is Greek so it is not unusual and definitely not a negative statistic.

There are a number of different fraternities and sororities students can join while attending school. These groups have houses that range from very close to campus (2 miles) to far away from campus (20 miles).
