Having transportation isn't needed, but it will help greatly as long as you remember to park where you're supposed to. Also, it would be in your best interest to get to your room first if you have a roommate, thus letting you pick how you want the room to look yourself.

If you are from a big city, then you may need some time adjusting to the area; however, the quite time is appreciated when it comes time to study! There are several restaurants and stores anywhere from 5-20 miles away from King to where students who need to get away from the campus life for a while may do so.
