As a student or a soon to be student, do not be afraid to talk to your adviser. They take the time to see what you want and need and they will do their best to help you out. Try to be as involved as you can be. there is always fun stuff going on and it is easy to be involved. Take school seriously. You are paying to be there and so is everyone else. You may want to goof off in class but your classmates won't appreciate that.
