For incoming freshman, my advice to you is get involved as much as possible. Not only do you make friends, you will also be less homesick and enjoy being at school more. For first generation college students, I would advise you to get involved with a program that I am currently in called SSSP. It is to help with the transition into college and will help you throughout the couple years you are here. They will help you with picking classes and develop many skills, such as time management, which is very important. They also give some scholarships out and the best part about being involved with SSSP is you receive early registration, which allows you to pick classes about a week or so before everyone enrolled at Kutztown. This is great because it pretty much guarantees you the classes you want for the next semester. read full review
