A school that's open to everyone. A school that will give you oppurtunities. A school that is private but open.

It has a beautiful campus right on the center of Downtown Brooklyn. The professors show their students helpful information. Its an easy going campus with all the building connected.

The Global Studies portion of LIU - Brooklyn is an experienced based program of studies that places students in various locations: Costa Rica, India, Australia, China, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. The intention is to expose students to various ways of thinking, learning, living, and structure in order to step out of the limitations of their own thinking. LIU is a commuter school located in Brooklyn,NY that offers a great pharmacy doctorate program. It is the only institution in the area that accepts transfer students to their pharmacy program. The school is constantly making changes to the curriculum which slows down students to achieve their career goals on time. The school needs better operational organization as it is difficult to get personal assistance; knowing that education is an essential and important matter that needs close attention.

The school is very expensive and not worth it. The staff is nice but not all. The school seems to spend more money on the building than their students.

The most rewarding experience at LIU, for me, has been my involvement. From jump start I have been on the cheerleading team where we are required to practice and perform our dance techniques; during this time I have learnt discipline and structure through my coach it has all been extremely rewarding to see myself learn and grow from these experiences.

Long Island University campus is the second safest campus in the country. We have 24/7 security in the dorms and around campus. The campus is gated and most of the building are connected except the dorms so in inclement weather you don't have to worry about how to dress to go out. The University is small so that makes it even easier to make friends and get to know everyone.
