    Food is one area of improvement. There are two main places on campus to eat the Quarterdeck and the Galley. You're never going to know what to expect with food from the Quarterdeck. The Galley on the other hand is a grille and you choose what you'd like.

    I personally am not a fan of the dining areas and the food they provide, although the dining areas are undergoing a huge renovation this summer, we will see how it turns out. The food could offer a lot more healthy options and cheaper options for students in the campus store. I also think that if you live on campus in the town house and have a full kitchen they should give you the option of whether or not you want to have a meal plan.

    Greek life is an amazing opportunity. Definitely join a fraternity or sorority. Here at Lake State we don't have many options but we are expanding. There was actually a new fraternity created this semester. It's an awesome group to be apart of. You meet tons of people and do different events to help out others and the community, while creating a special bond with your brothers and sisters

    There are a few fraternities and a few sororities, they aren't nationally known, and no one feels as though they have to be a part of one, so it isn't as big a deal as at most colleges.

    The best part of any other activity outside of academics to me is Greek Life. There is a different level of friendship and a lot of opportunities to volunteer and give back. Also, it is something that looks great on a resume.
