Categories Comments Campus Safety Lakeshore Technical College takes school security very seriously. They have an on campus policing system and several well known policies protecting the school and campus, and also their students and staff. I have not had any worries since I started attending school here.
Clubs and Activities Their are many clubs like a marketing club, a sustainability club, study groups, and event planning groups. The school does a great job of offering employment opportunities to students who might be in need of a job while attending school. The best thing is if there is not a club or a group for something you are interested in you have the freedom to try and successfully set one up.
Great for these types of students This school particularly applies to students who might not like the traditional UW style school. It is also great for working adults, it offers day and night classes, classes on a fewer smaller campuses spread within the region, and schedule flexibility and online classes.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Lakeshore is a technical college so if you are attending you get to experience alot of different people and their cultures. You might see young adults fresh out of high school first starting out, or you may also see adults that have been working for many years trying to move up or change their career path. Not only the wide variety in students is unique, the programs that LTC offers can fit your needs no matter what your interests are. This school is a very cool school to check out some new things.
Bang for the buck LTC is a very fairly priced college, a full semester in tuition costed me 1700 dollars and I was able to get help through financial aid and different scholarships. You are going to stay up to date with new technology, new programs and curriculum, and you are going to get a great education for a great value.
What to do for fun LTC offers a ton of clubs and activities students can get involved in. They have trails winding through the surrounding woods that are fun to explore and a full disc golf course designed right on campus. Any day at LTC is never too long because there is always something that can be found to do.
Food and Dining The school opens it's cafeteria for breakfast and lunch operations. They offer a wide variety of foods consisting of everything from soups to chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, pizza, potatoes, and other delicious snacks. You may also purchase things like yogurt, fruits, different juices, and bottled water and milk.
Dorm Life There are currently no dorms here, because the school is conveniently located in between the Sheboygan and Manitowoc cities. This provides access from many cities in the Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties. The school is however looking into purchasing land for dormitories to be made for students
Academic Rigor All of my professors here so far have held their own on their standards and what is required to be done in order to do well in a class. The school seems to do a great job staying current in what is expected from state board policies. They also implement their own insight into their curriculum which makes your education very current and very well rounded.
Tips for prospective students Students, this school is a great place to check out. Chances are you are going to find a program that matches your career choice, comes close to your interests, or a program that sparks a new interest entirely.
In three sentences Lakeshore Technical College is a great college to attend. They are constantly updating their programs to match employer needs and staying relevant with updated technology. If you are looking for a school that offers variety ranging from a Wind Energy Technology program to a Dental Assistant program and everything in between this is the place to go.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Very safe, high police presence and campus security. We have a Police Academy on campus.
Greek Life Again, what is this relating to?
Clubs and Activities I'm a part of the CJSA simply because I joined the program. We do a lot of volunteer work.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Other students try to steal my red gun when I have my duty belt on. They get steal it then you owe them a meal.
Bang for the buck I've been satisfied with my 'bang for the buck' except for mathematics. That was a waste of money.
What to do for fun My program is very volunteer service orientated so I'm always signing up for activities.
Food and Dining Simple foods in the cafeteria, good portions for the money paid.
Dorm Life There are no dorms.
Academic Rigor I do not find this college difficult, but I never found school difficult to begin with. Some students have had problems. But, the instructors do their jobs excellently and do prepare us.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you're serious about your program and you keep up with it. This is not high school.
In three sentences Knowledgeable and friendly come to mind when I think of Lakeshore Technical College. They focus their teachings on setting you up for your career. In our program I see them prepping us to achieve above standards and get us above the rest of our competition.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck I look at other colleges I want to go to, and look at 200,000 for everything after 4 years. Here I'm looking at maybe 20,000
What to do for fun Enjoy the campus. It is beautiful all times of the year. Plus there are different things going on all the time.
Food and Dining The lunch food is great. Overpriced, but every cafeteria is. The pancakes are kind of iffy though. I would grab breakfast at home.
Dorm Life There aren't dorms.
Academic Rigor Classes are challenging but doable.
Tips for prospective students Work hard and teachers will respect that effort. Everyone here is really understanding if you forget to do something. Life happens.
In three sentences LTC is a great college with good teachers and a beautiful campus. I've been to college before this and I didn't really like it, but I love it here. I'm really glad I'm going here.
