If you are looking for a school that excels in the criminal justice, nursing, or just want an overall great college career experience Lamar University is the best choice. This university is always having opportunities available for students to volunteer and to me giving back to the community is very important.

Make sure you have a well thought out plan of any aspect of what you want to do, and if you don't know yet make sure to figure it out within your first year so that you aren't struggling forever. Figuring out what you want to do is only part of the battle, the other part has to do a lot with staying focused and doing well. Good luck, do well, and HAVE FUN! You're only young once!
