There is lots to do for fun. The library is very large and extensive. There are several nice fields and open areas in which to pursue other recreational activities.

Lane Community College provides an online venue for campus clubs of all sorts to be started or a place to join existing clubs. They also have active sports teams that compete on a regular basis. The student body council is active and always looking for more people to join. They also have a long house that not only provides support for Native American students but holds classes that are available to all students and a pow wow that is held each year where everyone is invited to come watch for free. There are plays and musical concerts to be in or attend. The summer biology classes go on field trips to the beach to view the whales and ocean-life. The art department holds an art competition each year for the students where money can be won and the art work is publically displayed. There is always something going on.

There are many student clubs to join, or as most students like to do, there are bars around, some of which have karaoke. Taylors, Docs' Pad, and The Webfoot are great karaoke places to go to, although there are others. There is also lots of Volunteer Activities to get involved with, such as Egan Warming Center, and for medical students(or already licensed professionals) there are groups like Cahoots, and Occupy Medical to become involved in.
