Around Town

Programs through the dorms, clubs, intramural sports, work out in the REC, or hang out with new people.

There are so many different clubs you could join at Lock Haven it is unbelievable. You will always be able to find something to do in whatever free time you have whether it be a club activity or walking around campus enjoying the beauty of it all.

Because there is not many thing to do in the town of Lock Haven, you must find the right group of people to have fun! With the right people, you can definitely have a good social life on campus.

Work out at the rec. center, bake cookies, go to the river, got to the Roxy theatre to see a movie, study, watch movies at the Price Auditorium once a month, magician/comedy shows occasionally, concerts for choir and band.

If you're looking for shopping malls or dance clubs, this is NOT the place for you. That being said, if you're an outdoorsy person that prefers hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, etc. then Lock Haven has your name written all over it.

There's the rec center, and it's free. Go rock climb! If you're not so sporty there's the pub, which is full of video games and other activities and then there's coffee shops and stores in town to check out!

The Safe haven plans a lot of events, there are a lot of groups, organizations, sororities and fraternities. Penn State is a near by party school. You can go into town and shop in the little stores and buy food.

There isn't to much to do around here for fun. You basically have to be able to make your own fun. Walking around town is nice even though it is very small but the movie theater is cheap.

Go downtown and go shopping. Go to the movies. Go downtown to eat. Hang out on campus with friends at the rec center.

There are always activities to do on campus. The sports teams are always playing and there are guest speakers all the time also. There is also the REC center where you can go play games with all friends and even get involved with intermurals.
