You have to be able to stay focused on school, even though there may be a lot of distractions around you. If you have a hard time with that, this school may not be for you.

    I didn't like the university. It's in a poorer neighborhood even though it is located close to the business district. The school also looks like it is in need of a renovation.

    LIU is a wonderful choice for people who want be educated by professionals that will motivate you to succeed. The atmosphere is diverse and accepting to people from all backgrounds. I would suggest LIU to anyone who wanted to challenge themselves.

    The professors and counselors care about their students. If one is struggling with their courses, there are free tutors for every subject and a writing center for those who need their papers revised or when they need to work on their writing skills. There are a lot of clubs to join and the school is big enough to meet new people.

    The experience at Long Island University has been phenomenal thus far with the professors that I have taken. Some of the professors that are currently teaching do not look like they enjoy teaching therefore I would recommend research your professors prior to taking them. The tuition is something that will continue to increase every year and scholarships are available, it is just up to you to apply for them.

    I loved the campus! A really diverse population is a plus for me, because I am foreign student and everyone seems really welcoming. I really loved the architectural aspect; buildings and nature are truly beautiful.

    This school has excellent professors that take the time to make sure you understand and are interested in the topic. The financial aid department has problems with timing but helpful people. Not the most attractive school on the inside.
