» Read MoreThe food is college food. Do not, I repeat not, expect gourmet. As a student your student id card is your lifeline. You are allowed to sign up for a personalized student meal plan in which you specify how many meals a day you wish to pay for and how much money you wish to have on your card. The meals per day apply to Winnick, where you swipe your card at the entrance for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The money on the card can apply to Winnick (if you wish to pay $13 for dinner) but most commonly applies to Starbucks, Subway, and the eatery in Hillwood Commons. An interesting tip is that mid semester, Winnick has a survey that students can take as many times as they want. After you take the survey you are given 3 free meals at Winnick. I took these countless times in order to help my commuter friends, who did not have meal plans.
