Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Get involved in the clubs and honors program, get to know your teaches. It really helps.
Bang for the buck The tuition is cheap and they also offer a lot of scholarships and finacial aid. I have barely had to pay for anything.
Am enjoying being here The campus is pretty and easy to get around. The clubs are awesome. I'm part of both honors societies and the Classical Music Club. The clubs really interact with each other.
Am learning a lot They have some really great professors here; I have had some wonderful classes. Also their honors program is great.

Great for these types of students Interested in Culinary arts .
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus there is always a fee market on Sundays i believe ,and during school hours, on the field, they also have some people outside selling merchandise
Bang for the buck fair pricing cant complain especially if you have fafas help.
What to do for fun There's a big park right next to it where you can swim have a cook out and there's also a golf course on the other side. Then the school have a great big gym; very state of the art .
Food and Dining Delicious cafeteria
Dorm Life no dorms
Tips for prospective students Classes are not expensive and the new campus is beautiful. I will continue to go there
In three sentences A very laid back environment i would give it 4 out of 5 in rating. I would give it a 5 if the math teachers didn't all have heavy accents

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This school is great for any and ever type of student because there are so many options and choices as to how you can learn and whether you prefer to take online classes or lectures or every hybrid which is both.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to enroll for your classes on time to ensure that you get into the classes you want and also to have the schedule most convenient to you.
Bang for the buck You get everything that you are paying for, if you are paying for three units a class, then that is what you get out of it because that is exactly what is given to you.
Am enjoying being here There is a nice and friendly environment, the campus has been improving and contains wonderful gardens and beautiful new buildings.
Am learning a lot The instructors here are very hard-working and do their best to help the students learn. the ones that I have had have been very supportive and willing to help anyone who simply asks.

Categories Comments Campus Safety los angeles mission college is one of very few campuses that i truly believe is a safe environment. the campus has multiple emergency buttons you may find in every corner you turn, accompanied with camera to watch students on campus, and most importantly they have campus security.
Bang for the buck the tuition is cheap and affordable, besides that there are other ways that individuals can attend this college. for instance they may apply for financial aid, receive grants, waivers, loans, and other government help.
What to do for fun there are many things to do in los angeles mission college for fun, as myself i am in the dance club. there are multiple clubs and events that los angeles mission college holds.
Tips for prospective students i would advise any prospective students to check out the los angeles mission college’s campus, staff, and professors themselves in order to discover whether they like the college or not. in an educational aspect, i would advise prospective students to always be on top of education, meaning to always be prepared, organized and most importantly not afraid to ask professors any questions they intend to be answered, because college is basically being on your own, and learning and advancing through educational experience.
In three sentences los angeles mission college is an incredible community college, that allows their student to feel safe in a well protected campus . both the staff and professors are able to teach their students more than the basic fundaments of their field and broad education. through their knowledge of their field they are able to students, as myself, the techniques to learning and memorizing what is thought in the class and the outside world.

What to do for fun golf course is next door, with el cariso park. just being on campus is a wild time.
Food and Dining the new dining area is very nice.
Dorm Life i live off campus
Academic Rigor the teachers are very helpful, and the learning center has a dedicated staff to help you out with any tutoring needs you might have.
Tips for prospective students if you have a desire to come here, the key is to get started early. don't let class, or books costs stop you from signing up from anything you are interested in. take advantage of all the facilities in the library and help centers.
In three sentences i'd rate mission college as a very good choice for furthering my education. construction is still happening, with some of the finished buildings making me very proud to call my self a student here.

Categories Comments Campus Safety They're security and sheriffs on campus are very proactive! They take their jobs seriously! There hasnt been one day I felt unsafe there.
Greek Life none
Clubs and Activities drama club is awesome! They have alot of random clubs like any other college but great to just take a break from studying.
Great for these types of students Laid back students, Hispanic, Armenian, Black, Fresh out of high school
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is this really weird areas below the student learning center and the library where its a story underground and has picnic tables. Its great spots for studying!
Bang for the buck I lived about 50-mi. away from LAMC, but I really didnt mind it. You really learn alot about commuting and things like that so I think its awesome.
What to do for fun They're are barely any sports here, but you can always join the gym they have and its awesome! They have all kinds of equipment. The track is actually on top of the basketball gym on a second floor.. can you say AWESOME!
Food and Dining Their food IS AMAZING. They offer breakfast lunch and dinner. The dining area is awesome. The salads aren't too good though.
Dorm Life No dorms, its a community college.
Academic Rigor They are very welcoming and understanding. Most people do well here. The grades are definitely a reflection of the professors quality of teaching.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you meet with a counselor and apply for financial aid. Get acquainted with your parking schedule and method before school starts after you have your classes. Look up professors on ratemyprofessor.com before adding them, its ALWAYS right!
In three sentences LAMC is a great school if you live out of town from the school. The classes are easy to crash. Parking is expensive, but there is a neighbor near by with free parking.

In three sentences LA Mission College is a community college swarming with opportunity. Located in the San Fernando Valley, it is the best junior college in the area due to being less populated, having a faculty who cares, and a campus made for prospective transfer students. I felt most comfortable at this school than I did the other three community colleges I attended.

Time management is really important for a college student . Study, study, study or else you will fail , giving up is not an OPTION.

Categories Comments Campus Safety LAMC is considered a very safe campus with call boxes all over the campus and the Sheriff's office within easy reach. Campus security can be seen around campus everyday in all areas and during campus hours.
Greek Life There are no Greek houses on campus. Most communal gatherings take place in the various clubs offered to students.
Clubs and Activities Clubs of all types are offered. Each club welcomes new members and is very accommodating of student schedules.
Great for these types of students All types of students. Especially those intending to go into Law Enforcement. The Administration of Justice program is aligned with many departments to ensure that the student is fully prepared to enter the police academy.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus This campus is very dedicated to celebrated ethnic heritage and often has special events on holidays important to certain ethnic groups.
Bang for the buck Many of the courses offered satisfy the lower division requirements of both University of California and California State University schools allowing students to save money on tuition.
What to do for fun The campus is conveniently located next to a large park and golf course. When I'm not working or studying I play tennis or golf.
Food and Dining The cafeteria provides excellent meals for any type. There is an excellent selection of food and the prices are very reasonable.
Dorm Life There are no dorms available on campus.
Academic Rigor Classes are very focused and require that you stay current with all assignments in order to earn a good grade. Good time management skills will help students stay on top of their coursework.
Tips for prospective students Take advantage of the counselors before planning your curriculum. Take advantage of the classes and workshops for new students that are offered to help develop time management and study skills.
In three sentences LAMC has helpful staff that are willing to spend time helping you reach your goals. It offers many classes and workshops to help you get back or stay on track. The professors are very practical in their teaching methods which help students apply what they've learned.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are fun things to do at the college such as taking PE, dance, sports classes. In addition, there are also clubs that you may sign up for.
Food and Dining We have a new caffeteria just opened in 2012 with very good proportioned healthy food. There is a wide variety of choices from pizza, salads,chicken etc.
Dorm Life For this College there are no dorms available.
Academic Rigor There are always challenging classes at every college. The good thing is that there are tutoring centers that you may seek for help. There are several resources to make sure you pass your classes with descent grades.
Tips for prospective students A tip I can share with you is make sure you seek to speak to a counselor so you may have an outline of what classes you need to take. Being organized and taking as many classes as you can will help you transfer to a University much faster.
