“Can't comment on this one because I never lived on campus. …”
“Dorm life is great at LMU. RHA does a great job of providing resources and activities for the residents. They plan things like laser-tag trips, retreats, Lakers/Dodgers/Galaxy game tickets, art…”
“I do not know about the dorm life. I am a graduate student and I live off campus; however, the dorms that I have seen look very nice and new.…”
“the dorm rooms are nicely furnished and the experience mostly depends on your roommate and those you live with.…”
“it depends on what dorm you get. some dorms are really fun while other are boring. …”
Sodexo food isn't that great, but its bearable. Options are limited.
» Read MoreThe food here is pretty average, but there are many eating options to choose from. Some are cafeteria style, with different types of food, like American and Mexican. Others are restaurant style offering more gourmet-like meals. With a meal plan, which is required, food here is practically all you can eat!
» Read MoreI liked it my first year but I definitely did not have a taste for it my Sophomore year. I was happy to be living in a special housing outside of campus my junior and senior year which allowed me to get my own groceries.
» Read MoreThe food is good. They offer healthy options so its easy to avoid the freshman 15.
» Read MoreYou have many choices and places to go for a small school.
» Read MoreAs with any college food, it gets old after a while, but the Sodexo Company in charge of our food makes sure to keep changing things up. They have funky weekend hours at some of the places on campus, but other on-campus places are open late so that makes up for it.
» Read MoreFood is good, lots of variety and places to eat and get free food!
» Read MoreThe food options are good but like any school it gets old quick.
» Read MoreThe food is decent. There are various places to eat around campus and a few more near campus.
» Read MoreThe food is prepared by the outside company Sodexo. The food better than other colleges and their meal plans are easy to understand. No students will be left hungry.
» Read MoreA great variety of sororities and fraternities for everyone.
» Read MoreI joined Greek Life here and I love it! The sororities and fraternities are super welcoming of new members, and they are there to help the younger students with absolutely anything! Keep in mind, there is NO hazing here whatsoever! Just harmless and fun social events and philanthropy!
» Read MoreGreek life is small considering Loyola Marymount doesn't have a greek row, but it is still a good way to get involved and meet new people.
» Read MoreWe have a Greek Life, but the community surrounding the campus doesn't fully support our Greek Life. We don't have any Greek housing off campus where they can display their letters. But our greek life is still strong on campus.
» Read MoreGreek life is present, and in certain circles it is really prominent. I personally couldn't imagine not wanting to rush, but I have a lot of friends not involved in Greek Life who are in Service Orgs, which are a lot like Greek Life without such a prominent social element.
» Read MoreAt LMU, I am a graduate member of a sorority. The sorority is focused on service, an ideal that is in line with the mission of LMU. There are several Greek organizations on campus. Most of them offer opportunities to volunteer and support the local community as well as the campus community. Of course, all of the Greek organizations have activities and events too that offer students the chance to meet other students with shared interests.
» Read MoreThere are six official sororities and five official fraternities on campus. Needless to say, Greek life is not huge at LMU. That being said, it's very fun to be apart of it. As a member of a sorority on campus, I know how beneficial membership is. The organizations put on great philanthropies and parties. I believe Greek life is definitely more focused on the social aspect, but there is a lot of hard work and charity done in each organization. Moreover, there are no official houses or a Greek Row at LMU. If you are looking for a hardcore Greek life experience, you might consider USC or ASU.
» Read MoreThey were very welcoming when I was first considering a sorority but couldn't afford the extra cost so I can't really comment.
» Read MoreGreek Life is growing on campus and actually becoming something cool. There is no pressure to join, but everyone gets along and even collaborates on several events.
» Read Moregreek life is great, but also very different. at lmu freshman cannot rush until second semester, this gives people time to meet a lot of people who they might now have met if they rushed right away! i'm in the greek system and all of my best friends are separated between the different sororities! because you get to meet people before you rush it makes it so that the sororities and fraternities all get along really well and are supportive of each other philanthropies and activities! no drama between houses here!
