Around Town

On campus events such as movie showings and various speakers are common but Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) have so many different things to do that it's hard to be bored.

Mac does a great job of informing students of both on-campus and off-campus events! We have periodic dances on campus and those can be pretty fun if you go with the right people. Poetry slams are AMAZING! They sound kind of nerdy, but seriously they are one of those things you just don't miss. Otherwise, the twin cities are amazing and there is literally always something going on if you're looking for it. Also, you can get cheap concert tickets and bus passes through the campus center!

Grand Avenue is a great place to shop and dine. There are many parks around the school, and the river provides beautiful scenery. The Twin Cities also host many professional sports teams and have many places to enjoy music and the arts.

There are so many student organizations on campus that there is always something to do. From being in an org to just hanging around the twin cities, there's always something to do. Mac has a sort of Urban setting and a very easy public transit system to get on and off campus. There really is always something fun.
