    Campus Safety

    there is an armed guards on campus. parking passes are required for any car you may drive onto the campus. i feel safe when i am there, even at 3 am.

    Greek Life

    there are no sororities or fraternity.

    Clubs and Activities

    there are no clubs, however during the classes there are field trips to concert halls.

    Great for these types of students

    students that want to learn the recording industry. students that don't mind that there is no sports teams.

    Bang for the buck

    this school is worth the money!

    What to do for fun

    this school does not have sports teams. most students can stay at the school until 4am recording in the studios.

    Food and Dining

    each student is responsible for their own meals. however there is a break room with microwaves, refrigerators and vending machines.

    Dorm Life

    there is no dorms at this school, however the counselor's office does have information on local places for you make arrangements.

    Academic Rigor

    the digital audio workstations have pro tools, logic, reason, cubase. you get hands-on experience with analog soundboard, tape machine, 24 track mtr, effects systems all in the studio rooms.

    Tips for prospective students

    they offer two-year and four-year degrees. the teachers are easy to approach and get along with. if you love recording/audio engineering this is the place to go. the schools uses the modern technology the industry uses.

    madison media institute has a well organized recording program with the most recent in technology and software. the teaching staff works as a great team to prepare students for life in their field. most graduates get jobs in their field of study soon after graduation.

    Campus Safety

    The safety is a high priority for MMI. There are student IDs that allow you in and out of the building. Security guards are always watching the buildings. It's an extremely comfortable environment.

    Greek Life

    None.

    Clubs and Activities

    There are a couple clubs that deal with the industry you are going in, such as the IGDA for the GAM department. It's a cool thing to get into.

    Great for these types of students

    Students who are willing to be challenged, who want one-on-one attention and where everyone knows your name. It's a great place to be.

    Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    Nerf. Swords. Period.

    Bang for the buck

    This has been an awesome experience and this is the perfect school to be.

    Food and Dining

    There are so many places around Madison to grab some chow. A few favorites are the Texas Road House, and the Nitty Gritty downtown.

    Dorm Life

    There are no dorms on campus. The cost of living in Madison can be costly, but many students in MMI look for roommates constantly.

    Academic Rigor

    MMI is very challenging. The school challenges you to be your best to get you the job in the industry. You are constantly working on several projects- in school and in possible internships. The challenge is exactly what I was looking for in my school.

    Tips for prospective students

    This is a very specialized school, so make sure this is what you want to do. Be prepared for rigorous, diligent work- but also be prepared to have fun while doing the work. Nobody can skate through MMI.

    Madison Media Institute is all about the hands-on approach, working with industry standards and taught by teachers who have been in the industry and know what it's like in the world. MMI is a small campus, perfect for one-on-one attention, and the teachers really care about your success, both in your career and in school. The facilities are state-of-the-art and strive to achieve your needs.

    What to do for fun

    I play video games and i work on cars. I enjoy hanging out with friends and my fiancee and our son, They are the best family anyone could ever ask for, they help push me towards meeting my goals in life.

    Food and Dining

    I know they have wonderful break rooms, that you can go to in between classes and sit, talk, eat, and drink, mabey even make up some work if you need to.

    Dorm Life

    I will be doing online schooling so i will not be in any dorm, and the school does not actually have dorms, but they do help you get an apartment, and they can help you look for a job.

    Academic Rigor

    I will be honest i dont really know what this means but from what i can find, I understand its about hardships in the classroom and such. Well i haven't started yet and i will also be doing online schooling, but from what i have been told the teachers are wonderful and there is always someone there to help when you need it.

    Tips for prospective students

    I would have to just say, that whatever you do in life and want to do in life never give up on. Always believe in yourself, and strive to become a better person.

    I would have to rate the Madison Media Institute a 10. They are very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. I would be very proud to recommend MMI to anybody.

    Tips for prospective students

    Be ready for a lot of hands on stuff

    In three sentences

    The school is very low key but I feel like I am getting everything I need. The teachers are all professional and are good at what they do. If you love film, music, graphic design then this is the school for you.

    Campus Safety

    There are drills and counter measures ready to be put in place if anything every happens. Doors are always locked and must be activated by a student ID so no need to worry about intruders.

    Clubs and Activities

    Lots of clubs to attend, and with more students comes with more clubs so new students could create their own clubs if allowed and accepted by the school dean.

    Bang for the buck

    The school is expensive but what this school doesn't do is waste your time teaching you stuff not needed for your field of study. You will learn everything needed to exceed in your field which is taught by industry leading professionals.

    What to do for fun

    There are a lot of after hour clubs and parties to meet other students that are attending the school the parties are free to attend.

    Food and Dining

    Some pizza parties have been held there is no on campus kitchen just vending machines. There are fast food restaurants just down the road in walking distance.

    Dorm Life

    There is no on school living but they are willing to help find a solution to make it easier for the student along with the school.

    Academic Rigor

    This school is at an extremely accelerated to get students in at out the door in a few years and get one into the professional field. Every advancing semester the work only gets harder so study up.

    Tips for prospective students

    Come sit in on some classes it free and will help one understand what the school/student life is like and what types of classes you will be taking in the program your thinking about.

    Teachers are extremely willing and helpful. Through the student portal it is very easy to get a hold of your teacher during times you are not in class. Students that go to the school and very friendly and will become your competition later in life so it is important to make a lot of friends.

    What to do for fun

    There is a new student union where you can join in any kind of club you want and if you really like what you do, experimenting with all the great equipment they provide is pretty fun.

    Food and Dining

    They don't have food and dining, they have vending machines. But what they do sometimes is they will have pancake breakfasts and root beer floats and other fun food hang outs in the school.

    Dorm Life

    There are no dorms.

    Academic Rigor

    The teachers go through everything very thoroughly with visuals, lectures, guest speakers from high end companies in your field, and awesome hands on experience. They are also more than happy to help you outside of class with any questions you have.

    Tips for prospective students

    Keep up on your homework and get to know your teachers because they are the keys to your success. They know their craft inside and out and are so open to answer any and every question you may have along the way.

    Learn the media industry inside and out from professional and awesomely experienced teachers in your field of choice. If you do the work and take it seriously, but have fun, you're teachers themselves will line you up with great job opportunities. Super fun, hands on learning experiences with people who help you on your way to your dream job one step at a time.
