Get started with Cappex to compare the Marietta College weather with your hometown!
Create an account now! There are the standard house parties and local bars on the weekends. I would say the bar scene is average at best but students still manage to have fun every weekend there. The college is always putting on special events -- Up til Dawn, Doo Dah Day, Relay for Life, outdoor movies, movies in the planetarium, mock casino nights, Sunday night free wings and pizza for NFL games, magic shows, hypnotists, concerts (Taylor Swift came one year), trips to cedar point, Globetrotter shows on campus -- I really could go on and on. The point is, if you are bored, you are trying to be uninvolved. That is just the stuff to do on campus! There is also front street shopping, rope swinging into the Ohio River, a trip to the local aquatic center, not to mention all of the history associated with downtown Marietta seeing as it is the first settlement in the northwest territory.
