There are many things offered on Marshall's campus to do for fun. There are activities within the dorms and movie night outside. The student center often times have activities during the day. We have had mechanical bull riding, moon bounce, and even opportunity to walk the tight rope. There are always things going on you just have to explore campus.

As a student athlete I don't have much free time on my hands, but when I do there are a few things that pop into mind. Marshall has an assortment of extracurricular activities such as intramural sports, and the rec center which has a gym, rock wall, pool, and offers classes such as belly dancing and scuba diving. Around the city of Huntington there is a mall and a movie theater which are very popular. In my spare time I also enjoy going for a walk in the quiet Ritter Park. In Pullman Square there are shops and restaurants that are very unique. Other students enjoy Greek life and the party scene at Marshall.

We have an amazing rec which always has fun classes going on for free. A ton of clubs are offered and students are always encouraged to join or be a part of something. The mall is only twenty minutes away and it's always nice to get out of Huntington for a while. Down 4th avenue there are many shops and restaurants to go to.

Huntington is a fairly big city and offers a lot of entertainment. On campus there is a Rec center that has a pool and hot tub along with all of today's work out equipment, an indoor track, and courts. You can borrow equipment anytime they are open and they provide private training and classes that are posted on their website. Campus also offers free tickets to a lot of decent concerts and shows for students. Each dorm building on campus has a lounge area with pool tables, vending machines, ping pong tables, and a living area with a television. If you are wiling to walk for a few minutes you can go catch a movie, bowl, eat out, or do some shopping.

Campus is on the river which boarders both Ohio and Kentucky. Between the three states, there is always something you can find to do. There are quite a few parks, seasonal activities such as the Pumpkin House in Kenova, only a few miles down the road, and the Winter Wonderland of Lights in Ashland, also a short trip away, and there is almost always a concert going on between the theater and the Big Sandy in Pullman Square.
