Around Town

No matter what you're into, there is always something for you. You could join a sorority or fraternity at Marshall, or you could simply join a club. If you're an athlete but don't want to be a part of the official teams, you can join the intramural sports' teams and meet so many new friends that you'll keep forever. If clubs aren't really your things, that's ok because Marshall offers many different activities that you can participate in without having to join a club or anything like that. They have concerts, comedy shows, showcases, outdoor activities, and much more. If that's not for you either, the mall is only twenty minutes away in Barboursville, or you can go up town to Pullman Square for a movie, dinner, and a little light shopping.

There is a ton of things to get involved in on or off campus.

Marshall has a brand new rec center and students are able to go swimming and rock climbing, and these are very popular activities. There is always something going on. Students can get free tickets for football games, basketball games, and for plays within the Marshall Artist Series. We are within walking distance of downtown Pullman Square Cinemas for movies and a shopping center. There is a lot to do in the Marshall area!

Hunting is a large enough city to where there is always something to do. Especially being close to Columbus, Ashland, etc.

West Virginia as a whole is an outdoor enthusiast's wonderland. If you are not into the outdoors we live in a small city and there is always something to do locally.

There is always something going on. There are dozens of clubs and fraternities and sororities, and lots of these groups hold activities on campus. Also, there is an older student living in the dorms with you who organizes activities for their floor. The different colleges bring in various speakers and musicians, and there are several different religious groups that have weekly get-togethers.

Join sports, a club, etc.

There is not much of anything you can do to have a good time. Eating and going to the movies is normally where the fun ends.

Unless you are on a sports team, in a fraternity or sorority, there is not much to do. It is really hard to get involved here at Marshall.

Not much out side of college campus activities.
