    Campus Safety

Mostly, the campus is safe. However, there is a lot of through traffic on campus because it is located in the middle of Pulaski. Also, they are really strict on where you park.

    Greek Life

Martin Methodist College does not have Greek life.

    Clubs and Activities

Martin Methodist has plenty of clubs and activities for students. They really keep the students involved and have competitions and other activities where each residential area will compete with each other.

Great for these types of students

Martin Methodist is great for athletes because of the generous scholarships.

    Bang for the buck

Martin Methodist is a great school if you like smaller schools. It is about the size of a high school and everybody knows each other. If you are looking for a bigger school in a bigger city, then Martin is not for you. Martin Methodist College is a great school, but it is also really expensive. Tuition is now at about 28,000 a year.

    What to do for fun

Unless you drive to Huntsville or Cool Springs, there is not anything to do in Pulaski. The most fun that is around is if you play intermural sports.

    Food and Dining

The cafeteria food is awful. It is by Sodexo. They constantly serve rice and pasta. There are several days that the only good thing to eat is the salad bar.

    Dorm Life

The dorm life is horrible. While living at the dorm I have seen several cockroaches and the dorms really stink. There is one laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers for the whole dorm to share and one community bathroom on each level. Also, the internet is very slow.

    Academic Rigor

Most of the teachers work really well with you to make sure that you are understanding the material taught in class. Martin also offers free tutoring to those who need it in the Student Resource Center, which is very helpful!

    Tips for prospective students

If you come to Martin, make sure that you can get to class on time. They are really strict about attendance. Because Martin Methodist College is a smaller school, they only offer certain time for certain classes unlike bigger universities.

    In three sentences

If you play sports then Martin Methodist College is for you. They work really well with you in order to make sure that you have your financial needs taken care of. Also, it is really easy to get in contact with the teachers because it is such a small school.

    Campus Safety

Martin is in a very small town and the neighborhood is extremely friendly, you do not need to worry about safety at this school! and if worse comes to worse, that the criminal justice majors are always around to help out!

    Clubs and Activities

There are so many clubs and other activities at Martin! It is safe to say there is something for everyone, from the school Newspaper, to Martin Serves! the clubs are amazing!

    Bang for the buck

Martin is a great school to get your education, and the financial aid department is VERY helpful about making your college experience affordable so that you don't have to worry so much about how to pay for college as just getting through college.

    What to do for fun

There are so many different clubs and activities to do on campus it is a wonder how anyone ever gets bored, but on the off chance that you do, Pulaski is a small town and has the cutest little shops. It is always fun to just go on a walk through town, or even get a group of friends together and drive to Nashville for the night (only 1 and a half hours away!)

    Food and Dining

The school cafeteria is newly renovated and looks amazing! The people who work there are so sweet and always hoping for suggestions about what to and what not to cook. Jazzman's is the schools own little coffee shop and a great hangout spot (very similar to Starbucks!)

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is something every college student should experience. It is a great way to make friends and there is always something going on. Just remember to always wear your shower shoes!

    Academic Rigor

The professors here will challenge you, but they are also here to help. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and Martin also has a free Student Resource Center where you can receive tutoring.

    Tips for prospective students

The classes are small so it is easy to build good relationships with your professors. Don't be afraid to ask for help, they are more than willing to help you!

    In three sentences

Martin is a very small school, only about 1,200 students, but that is the best part about it. It feels like home, the tight-nit community make the transition from high school to college a lot less stressful. All in all, Martin is a great school and a fun place to receive a good education.

    What to do for fun

Pulaski is a small town, but the campus offers many activity spots for students and members of the community. Hit the gym, go for a swim, or head off to a piano practice room in the Fine Arts building.

    Tips for prospective students

Keep up with your work and don't fall under the procrastinator spell. That can really hurt your grades and affect scholarship eligibility.

    In three sentences

Martin Methodist is a great, tight-knit, private college that provides a great environment for all students. The professors know what they're doing and the people surrounding us are fantastic.

    Campus Safety

It's rather safe and they do what they can to protect you but in the event the security doesn't know danger is around then they can't protect you..but then again that's with anyone anywhere.

    Greek Life

I don't think we have that.

    Clubs and Activities

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs on campus.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    Nothing really unusual.

    Bang for the buck

    What?

    What to do for fun

There are plenty of on campus events to attend of all sorts.

    Food and Dining

Sometimes the food is the decent but most of the time I'd rather eat elsewhere honestly.

    Dorm Life

Both dorms need to be rebuilt and I think Criswell needs to be relocated somewhere besides next to the cafeteria because I think this is a major contributor to the bug problem due to the fact that they are basically connected.

    Academic Rigor

    It's alright.

    Tips for prospective students

Go to the SRC for tutoring..It helps. Ask your teacher questions you don't understand. Have your priorites in line...school before your social life because your social life isn't going to pay your bills..but do make time to socialize and just to relax.

    In three sentences

Martin is a good school but there are areas they could definitely improve on. The teachers are very willing to help their students succeed and there's even free tutoring. However, the food served in the cafe could use some serious improvement.

    Greek Life

Great for these types of students

Students that live near by. Or students that like the very, very small campus enviroment.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

They had bonfires on occasions. Most students DO NOT share the same interests.

    Bang for the buck

It's ok if you are scholared otherwise, I wouldn't recommend.

    What to do for fun

Nothing. Some off campus parties. Boring. You may have to drive to Nashville or Huntsville for fun or get away time.

    Food and Dining

Only 1 cafe. Has smoothie bar that closes early. Food is decent.

    Dorm Life

Pretty Good. Bugs are awful in Criswell. Bathrooms are communal but decent.

    Academic Rigor

    Pretty good. 7

    Tips for prospective students

Get important things in writing. Especially if you are in athlete.

    In three sentences

Just because my experience wasn't great doesn't mean yours wont be. I cant personally recommend and would not come back if I had to. Academics are ok.

    Campus Safety

Martin Methodist College has a full time security officer who lives on campus at all times. He knows most of the students by name and even gives out his personal cell number so we can reach him if we are in need at any time. The campus is located less than a mile from the city of Pulaski's police department also, which makes you feel extra safe.

    Greek Life

There are no fraternities or sororities at Martin Methodist College.

    Clubs and Activities

Martin Methodist College has many sports teams despite it's small size. They boast a great men and women's soccer club, women's volleyball, softball, baseball, basketball, bowling, and a trap team. There are choir clubs, music clubs, clubs for different majors, intramural sports teams, honors societies and so much more.

Great for these types of students

Martin Methodist College has a very large mix of foreign students from over 100 different countries. No one has to worry about not blending in here because it is a huge melting pot of diversity. There are many athletes on campus here as well.

    What to do for fun

There is a movie theater on campus, and there always seems to be a campus cookout on the green, a dance, or an athletic event of some type to attend. There are always plenty of student bonding fun activities in which to participate.

    Food and Dining

There is the Sodexo main cafeteria, which is more like restaurant dining. They offer plenty of different entrees at any given time during the day and always have salads, pizza, or sandwiches if none of the cooked meals interest you. There is another smaller coffee shop/cafe on campus as well.

    Dorm Life

I am a commuter since this college is in my hometown, but I have friends that live in the dorms and they are state of the art and look more like apartments. They are spacious and are well designed, clean, and modern. I find myself wishing I had signed up for a dorm!

    Academic Rigor

The classes I have taken are very challenging and I had to learn quickly to become a college student with true college studying habits, because the grades don't come easy as they did in high school. If you find yourself struggling, take advantage, as I have, of the private free tutoring sessions and study groups offered on campus.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are a prospective student for Martin Methodist College, get involved early in the many extra-curricular activities offered around campus during your first few days of orientation in order to find clubs that suit you and get a head start on making new friends.

    In three sentences

Martin Methodist College is for those students desiring a small, hometown feel. The class sizes at Martin Methodist range from two to thirty pupils. Martin Methodist is a Christian based school placing a large emphasis on morality and ethical values.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

The touch stone is visited by every student planning to attend the college.

    Bang for the buck

I learned more at Martin Methodist than I did my previous college and enjoyed the classes more.

    What to do for fun

The college offers many martin moments, trips, and other fun opportunities for its students.

    Food and Dining

Most of the food was very good and it was an all you can eat buffet.

    Dorm Life

I did not live on campus, but my friends enjoyed the dorm life.

    Tips for prospective students

The classes are harder than a community college, but I can say I learned more at Martin Methodist than I did at my previous college.

    In three sentences

It's a really great college if you like the small home-like colleges. The teachers take time to get to know their students and are very helpful. The campus is small and very easy to navigate.
