Martin University is the only predominantly African-American university in Indiana. It employs a learning method known as andragogy, as opposed to pedagogy, where it involves adult learners in the learning process, encouraging them to bring their life and work experiences into classroom discussions. I am currently a transfer student. I really enjoy the closeness of the school. I love how the teachers still are able to give you one on one help when and if needed.

I have attended Martin University for one year, and I feel that as far as attending a Black College it is a great school. I have several classes with Dr. Derek King Jr. who is the nephew of Dr. martin Luther King Jr. a great civil rights leader that was killed in Memphis Tennessee in 1968. I bring up Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. because this university is named after him.

I would rate Martin University on a scale from 1 to 10 a 7. The reason is because of the previous financial aid situation. I do plan to attend this up coming semister, over all it is a good university.
