    Be comfortable in a large city or taking public transportation, be able to handle yourself alone. Get used to walking, toting art supplies, and staying up late.

    MICA is for students who are passionate and willing to work hard, so be prepared for a lot of work! Remember to be yourself and don't take everything too seriously. Be open to new ideas and people, and you will learn everything that is great about art, MICA, and Baltimore.

    If you are from a suburban and city area then MICA is a wonderful campus for you. The campus is in Baltimore City along Bolton Hill and every one in the area is friendly. The school does a wonderful job creating a genuine campus feel for an art school.

    If you like set guidelines and knowing exactly what you're supposed to be doing, this school can be a bit frustrating. (Teachers vary in their intensiveness on keeping up their moodle pages) I think the community's great, very diverse, everything very accessible since the city has a rather nice free bus system. Of coarse the community defiantly has a reputation of crime, however their is campus security everywhere.
