Categories Comments Great for these types of students Merrimack is good for students that what to have success after they graduate.
Tips for prospective students come for the small class sizes so you can have that one on one with your professors. Don't be shy Merrimack is full of very good people who are willing to help you and become your friend.
Bang for the buck the food could be better. They need to make some improvements on Monican because we have no AC for the summer and we cant not control the heat in the winters. there is no elevator, so those who live on the upper floors every year have to walk all their belongings up the stairs.
Am enjoying being here the people make the school a great place to be
Am learning a lot at the end of every semester i feel as though have gained quite o bit of information from all my classes. Each class helps prepare me for that next stage of my life after college.

Categories Comments Food and Dining Food is okay.
Dorm Life Awesome.
Academic Rigor So hard.
Tips for prospective students Come to Merrimack to have fun, but don't if your choosing a difficult major, you will struggle, and there wont be help. Choose a state school, save your money.
In three sentences Merrimack is a small college in a good location with a well organized campus that helps you easily balance a good social life along with a strong academic career. Depending on your major the professors can be helpful, but sometimes they aren't. As a first year student at Merrimack, my social life and activies have been the only reason I would remain enrolled since the professors aren't the best and the academic programs are very difficult.

Categories Comments Food and Dining The food is average. There aren't many healthy options other than the salad bar, which needs to be changed ASAP!
Dorm Life All of the dorms are very clean, and extremely safe. They all have ample amounts of washers and dryers, which are free making it easy for students to do their laundry. The common rooms are placed nicely making it easier for people to mingle and get to know each other.
Academic Rigor The academics at Merrimack are very competitive. Its an esteemed school that prides there self on their students. In no way is it an easy school, its challenging but doable, and the benefits of graduation will last you a lifetime.
Tips for prospective students Merrimack is definitely a great choice to consider in the college process. The academics are competitive, the sports teams are awesome and the people here couldn't be nicer. I'd say get involved as much as you can. Whether its joining a club or attending a hockey game, those moments are what makes Merrimack College special.
In three sentences Merrimack is a safe, beautiful and academically sound school. Its small enough that you get plenty of one on one time with teachers but big enough that you could meet someone new each day. The campus is gorgeous, the buildings are very clean and overall its a great place to be.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Very safe campus, highly active campus security
Greek Life No greek housing, but there are a handful of sororities and fraternities on campus -- mostly dedicated to philanthropy
Clubs and Activities Many clubs and activities to choose from, but they often seem very cliquey and exclusive
Great for these types of students Service-Oriented, homebodies, townies, student leaders.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Alternative Spring Breaks/Service Trips are very popular. Service Learning is a component of many classes.
Bang for the buck I find the tuition bill to be disproportionate to the quality of the facilities/academic experience.
What to do for fun Only 40 minutes from Boston, many restaurants, ice cream places, bowling, lazer tag, etc. nearby.
Food and Dining Sodexho provides campus food -- it is edible but not great.
Dorm Life I am a commuter student and cannot comment on dorm life.
Academic Rigor While the difficulty of the classes can vary, it seems that some professors are easily swayed by student complaints and often ligthten the workload when asked.
Tips for prospective students Since Merrimack is a small school, there are fewer niches, or groups of students, to choose from. If after a campus visit you feel that the culture of the school reflects your personality, you'll fit in great!
In three sentences Merrimack is a small New England Liberal Arts school where the majority of students are dedicated to campus involvement. There is a high volume of commuter students from surrounding towns, including New Hampshire. The experienced professors have made their lifelong career at Merrimack and are both professional and knowledgeable.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The Merrimack police are everywhere, but they do not do much.
Greek Life Greek life is a scam, only join if you're willing to pay for the events. They never participate in any fundraising events.
Great for these types of students Business students and students who prefer small classes and a small community.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Zest is great and there are hidden trails around campus.
Bang for the buck Honestly, all colleges are overpriced.
What to do for fun Clubs, parties and there is a nice gym facility.
Food and Dining Sparky's is not that great. The den is okay, but it is mainly fried foods and Zest is good but it will cost you a lot of your Mack points.
Tips for prospective students Buy your books in advanced online and not at the bookstore. Pack lots of food. Join clubs!
In three sentences It is a small campus that is close knit. It has a great business program. The food options need improvement.

Categories Comments Greek Life we have it but they really dont do anything special on campus
Great for these types of students Where a huge hockey school, our team does very well every year
Bang for the buck It's pretty expensive, be prepared to pay.
What to do for fun Bostons really close
Food and Dining Foods alright, its just really reparative and they don't change it up much. Also food tends to be greasy.
Dorm Life The schools is stuffing kids into 3 kids into rooms that were made for doubles which absolutely sucks, but new dorms are being built so that may not happen as much in coming years.
Academic Rigor Professors know their stuff and expect you to do the same. You wont be able to just float through but it wont kill you either. Just manage your time well and you will be set
Tips for prospective students Make sure you visit the college before you decided to come. Taking a religion class really is not that bad. Campus po po is not that strict.
In three sentences smallish Catholic school that has a great campus. Academics here are not killer but also are not a breeze. Food is alright it just gets repudiative and they usually dont have vegetables.
