    Use the library instead of buying books. I'm surprised a lot of people haven't picked up on this already. Some teachers offer calculators to borrow while in class. Use the tutoring centers for each department for help.

    The only thing that isn't worth the money is the parking on campus because it gets so pricey but the way around that is to take the light rail or busses because there are several stops around campus.

    I think Metro was a wonderful deal for the educational experience they used to provide. Now I think they are trying too hard to be a well known university and are losing the local, intimate feel. If you are looking for that big college experience for a slightly cheaper price, than you will love it at Metro.
